Anything can happen at an NXT Live Event. You might see Bayley do her best Finn Bálor impression, Sami Zayn and Bálor skank like they’re at an Operation Ivy concert, or even a fan popping the question to his true love.

The latter happened at a recent Live Event in Concord, N.C. There was plenty for fans to be excited about, as Shinsuke Nakamura joined forces with Finn Bálor in the main event, Austin Aries took on top prospect Manny Andrade and North Carolina natives The Revival came home.

But just before the evening’s two main events, NXT host Tom Phillips spotted Greensboro native Ray Every in the crowd. Clad in a Baron Corbin T-shirt, Every decided The Lone Wolf lifestyle was no longer for him, and pulled out a ring to propose to his girlfriend, Monica Whisenhunt. The NXT Universe gathered in Concord proved to be staunch traditionalists, chanting for Every to get down on one knee. Perhaps caught up in the heat of the moment, Every remained standing as he waited for an answer.

He didn’t have to wait too long, as Whisenhunt said yes. The two kissed to celebrate the moment as the NXT Universe chanted “Yes!” Then, everyone got to watch Asuka kick someone really hard and Nakamura clobber dudes with the Kinshasa. What more could you ask for in a night out?
