Droz's WWE Breaking Point Picks

Droz's WWE Breaking Point Picks

Well everyone, after checking out my last pay-per-view picks I am sure that you know that I stunk up the field, but I am not one to cry over spilled milk so I am going to get right back at it this month and go after WWE Breaking Point and its interesting stipulations.

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk vs. Undertaker (Submission Match)
With Punk's huge win at SummerSlam I have to say that I was more than a little excited to see his evening spoiled by Taker. The Dead Man has been gone for quite some time and it's great to see him moving around the squared circle once again. I am never one to go against Taker but I have to admit that Punk has been on a serious roll and I think it will continue at Breaking Point.  Somehow, someway, Punk will pull this out.

WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. John Cena ("I Quit" Match)
Orton has, in my eyes, many more than nine lives. He always finds a way to pull out the win and he is once again battling his arch nemesis. I really don't see either man saying "I quit," but if I had to go with a winner here, it has to be Orton.

D-Generation X vs. The Legacy (Submissions Count Anywhere Match)
Well, I would have to be a fool to go against DX, but Rhodes & DiBiase are making it oh-so-hard. Legacy has come close to defeating DX and I actually believe that this time won't be any different. Hunter and Shawn have too much fire behind them at this point to relinquish their winning ways. Newsflash: I am actually going against my better judgment and going with Legacy with a submission.

ECW Champion Christian vs. William Regal (with Ezekiel Jackson & Vladimir Kozlov)
Going into this match I am sure the ECW Champion Christian has to be quite worried about not only Regal but his two cronies as well. While one-on-one I feel Christian could take out the Brit, I have major concerns about his chances in this one. Now that I think about it, it would only be fair for Christian to have a little help of his own and not have to worry about the outside interference. Christian has been a great champion and he will continue that process after this night.

Mark Henry & MVP vs. Unified Tag Team Champions Chris Jericho & Big Show
If I was ever rooting for two wrestlers this would be that time. Although Big Show & Jericho have taken on all comers, I would love to see Henry and MVP with those titles around their waists. This is actually a very even match-up and I am hoping that the team of Henry and MVP can handle the champions and put them out of their misery. I am going out on a limb, but we will have new Unified Tag Team Champions when the night is through.

The Great Khali vs. Kane (Singapore Cane Match)
I definitely don't envy these two. I had a Cane Match with Steve Blackman back in the day and boy that was one long night. I had just gotten a new tattoo during the weekend when I was informed that I would be having a Cane Match with Blackman on Raw. I was definitely not looking forward to that. Needless to say, my new tattoo took a few shots and I still to this day remember the pain involved. Anyway, back to the match…These two huge men swinging the big canes is a recipe for disaster. I can only imagine being hit by one of those monsters, but I have to say I am going with Kane on this one and there is a pun intended…haha!

Earlier today, before I wrote this article I remembered what went on 8 years ago today and I still have trouble believing what acatually happened. I would like to send my best out to all the families that were affected by this atrocity. All our lives were greatly changed on that day and hopefully we have become better as time has gone on. Once again, please also remember to keep our troops and their families in your thoughts and prayers as well, I am sure that it would be greatly appreciated.

Until Next Time…
Droz...Peace...
