After answering Lio Rush's open challenge, Lince Dorado gave The Man of the Hour a run for his money until Maria and Mike Kanellis made a surprise appearance.

Lio Rush and Lince Dorado produced an edge-of-your-seat thriller that saw The Golden Lynx potentially closing in on a victory after taking control late in the contest last week. However, that’s when unexpected sound of Maria and Mike Kanellis music blared through the arena, and Maria made her way to the entranceway. The distraction was enough to allow her husband to attack, and he knocked Dorado off the top rope before unleashing a brazen attack on the luchador.

While The Man of the Hour escaped unscathed, Maria and Mike Kanellis approvingly surveyed the carnage they caused at the expense of The Golden Lynx. After the match, WWE 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick confronted the Kanellis duo to express his discontent. While it appeared Mike’s debut had been planned, Maverick seemed to indicate that he never agreed to Kanellis bursting onto the scene by attacking a fellow Cruiserweight.
