Hoosier Dome
The Hoosier Dome, now known as the RCA Dome, opened on May 3, 1984.

Construction of the Hoosier Dome cost more than $77 million.

The venue is home to the NFL's Indianapolis Colts.

The venue hosted the first World Indoor Track and Field Championship in 1987, the 1991 World Gymnastics Championship, and the 1991, 1997, and 2000 NCAA Final Four Championships.

The dome is one of four major air-supported stadiums including the Pontiac Silverdome, the Metrodome in Minneapolis and the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y.

In the summer of 1997, and the RCA Dome became the first domed stadium in the U.S. to have new Astro-Turf 12.
