Brock Lesnar vs. Goldberg

Brock Lesnar and Goldberg’s storied rivalry writes its next chapter at The Showcase of Immortals on Sunday, April 2, at WrestleMania 33. With Goldberg entering the contest 2-0 in their previous encounters and dominating their most recent run-ins, can The Beast Incarnate finally find a way to conquer the one Superstar he hasn’t beaten?

Ever since their first match at WrestleMania XX, Goldberg has had Lesnar’s number, with their latest battles becoming shockingly lopsided. After more than 10 years away from WWE, Goldberg returned in the fall. The former WCW juggernaut destroyed Lesnar in shocking fashion in a “Mega Match” at Survivor Series that ended up lasting a mere one minute and 24 seconds. Then, with Lesnar ready for redemption, Goldberg once again embarrassed his rival by quickly Spearing him and sending him over the top rope in the Royal Rumble Match.

It’s hard to imagine anyone owning Lesnar the way Goldberg has. The four-time WWE Champion has, after all, carved out a career of destruction. He not only ending The Undertaker’s seemingly unbreakable WrestleMania Streak, but since returning to WWE in 2012, he’s decimated every opponent thrown his way. That is, until Goldberg came back.

Now, Lesnar’s immaculate resume of destruction faces the possibility of including a very unsightly asterisk with the name Goldberg. Simply put, The Conqueror needs to defeat Goldberg on The Grandest Stage of Them All in order to erase what’s become the “yeah, but” portion of his career.

Goldberg, meanwhile, has an opportunity to further cement his legacy as one of the most dominant competitors to ever grace the squared circle. And what better way to put an exclamation point on his career than by standing tall over The Beast on The Grandest Stage of Them All?

Find out which legendary behemoth claims victory when Brock Lesnar battles Goldberg on Sunday, April 2, live and exclusively on the award-winning WWE Network.
