As long as WWE Champion Bray Wyatt is “the master” and Randy Orton is “the servant,” The Viper refuses to battle The New Face of Fear at WrestleMania.

That was the cryptic vow made by Orton the Feb. 14 edition of SmackDown LIVE, moments after Wyatt retained the WWE Title against John Cena and AJ Styles.

In pledging his allegiance to The New Face of Fear, Orton seemingly forfeited his opportunity to challenge Wyatt at The Showcase of the Immortals — a coveted position that The Viper earned by winning the 2017 Royal Rumble Match in January. Wyatt, for his part, told Orton that he now has the “keys to the kingdom.”

With Wyatt’s subjugation of The Viper now complete, SmackDown LIVE General Manager Daniel Bryan journeyed to WWE Talking Smack with a blockbuster solution for the void Orton created. Next week, SmackDown LIVE will feature a No. 1 Contender's Battle Royal. The winner of that colossal contest will challenge The New Face of Fear on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
