The Shield vs. Kane & The New Age Outlaws

@JoeyStyles: The Shield’s growth and near-incomparable success indicate the young Hounds of Justice will maul their Attitude Era opponents. However, with greater success comes greater egos, and almost every WWE Superstar — least of all those on an upward trajectory — aspires to be WWE Champion. Conversely, Kane & The New Age Outlaws know that they are at the tail end of their careers and are presumably being paid by The Authority to neuter the now-unleashed Hounds of Justice. It is that selflessness and shared goal that will lead to the veterans being victorious. WINNERS: Kane & The New Age Outlaws

@HowardFinkel: The Shield recently went through some choppy seas, but their collective ship has been sailing quite nicely as of late, and by my ears, they’ve taken on some passengers: the WWE Universe. I also like the Kane & New Age Outlaws trio — a very smart and savvy threesome in their in-ring exploits. I really think that this match is too close to call, but if push came to shove, I’ll go with The Shield. WINNERS: The Shield

Jake Grate: Have The Hounds of Justice bitten off more than they can chew? Against the tough, experienced, “Attitudinal” trio of Kane, Road Dogg & Billy Gunn, The Shield’s newly recovered unity will get a strong test. I think the black-clad trio will rise to the occasion and get redemption — and justice — on The Grandest Stage of Them All. WINNERS: The Shield

Alex Giannini: If 2013 was the year of The Shield, 2014 has been anything but. Rising tensions among the three members have led to more losses in a three-month span than the combined losses of the previous year. But Reigns, Rollins & Ambrose seem to be back on the same page now, and they’ll put up a united front against three increasingly meddlesome foes at The Show of Shows. WINNERS: The Shield

John Clapp: The Director of Operations’ tendency for machinations, supported by the likes of The New Age Outlaws and Kane’s own far-reaching influence on the WWE locker room, is cause for concern for The Shield. Yet, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose & Seth Rollins assuredly haven’t forgotten the ending scene of SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, when they were left beaten, down and out for the first time in their career.  Motivated by vengeance, the refortified Hounds trounce their competition here. WINNERS: The Shield

The Shield: 4, Kane & The New Age Outlaws: 1
