Fueling up for 'Mania

ORLANDO, Fla. -- At Sunday morning's Bacon, Bagels & Biceps Brunch to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the audience enjoyed plenty of scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and a heaping buffet of Superstars and celebrities.

Todd Grisham and the legendary Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart co-hosted the event as more than 1,200 fans, among them 50 Make-A-Wish kids from each of the 50 states, fueled up for the night's festivities and welcomed a list of luminaries, including Batista, Matt Hardy, The Miz, John Morrison, Kelly Kelly, Carlito, Torrie Wilson, Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Kennedy, Beth Phoenix and Rey Mysterio, as well as celebrities Raven-Symoné, WrestleMania XXIV guest hostess Kim Kardashian and BunnyMania Master of Ceremonies, Snoop Dogg.

"I've been working with Make-A-Wish since I was 15," said Raven. "It's been such a wonderful partnership [with WWE], and wrestling is something everyone can enjoy."

Before the Grandaddy of Them All, though, fans had the opportunity to ask questions of their favorite Superstars, which included an inquiry to Mysterio about matching up for the World Heavyweight Championship.

The Master of the 619 expressed confidence that he could regain the title because, as he put it, Small people like me can go big-time anywhere."

Another inquisitive questioner asked Kelly Kelly whether or not she would follow Maria and pose for Playboy.

"Never say never," she told our excited fans. "It's a great opportunity, so maybe."

The brunch capped several days of events partnering WWE and Make-A-Wish leading to WrestleMania XXIV.

"The Wish kids that are here are just thrilled," said Ned Allen, Chairman of the National Advisory Council for Make-A-Wish. "One of the kids told me yesterday that it was the most fun day of his entire life. It's been a wonderful experience."

After downing a meal of strawberries, bacon, bagels and orange juice, Wish kid Allen Sparrow suddenly became animated as he spoke about the brunch and the week's events.

"I've had a great time," said Sparrow, wearing his new WrestleMania XXIV visor. "The breakfast was really good, and yesterday I went to Universal [Studios] and got to meet John Cena!"

When asked, on a scale of 1-to-10, how excited he was to watch WrestleMania that night, Sparrow thought for a moment before the answer came loud and clear: "Probably 100!"
