Three cheers for Chi-town
Man, I can’t believe the event in Chicago! I just got off the phone with “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart, and he told me that there were over 35,000 of you unbelievable WWE fans at the Woodfield Mall this weekend. That’s fantastic, and I can’t believe I missed it.
“Mean” Gene Okerlund and hometown Diva Maria made appearances, and both told me how impressed they were with all of the great fans that came out to show support to the WrestleMania Fan Axxess Tour. We’re now less than a week away from WrestleMania 23! I’m pumped, I’m fired up, and I’m ready for the main event! Who’s going to get their head shaved? Who’s walking away a champion? This is what it’s all about, WrestleMania baby!
From the sounds of it, I’m not the only one ready for WrestleMania 23. Jimmy Hart was telling me how amazing it was to hear chants ringing throughout the mall. Thank you all for making this the most successful WrestleMania Fan Axxess stop we’ve had to date. Sorry again that I missed it, I had to take care of a few Hillbilly things before we get into Windsor, Canada for the final stops on the Tour.
This weekend, ladies and gentlemen, the main event will be upon us: WrestleMania 23 in Detroit. The “Motor City” was the home of the largest WrestleMania ever recorded in the books, WrestleMania III in the Pontiac Silverdome. This year, we’re looking to pack over 70,000 fans into Ford Field. That is going to be one heck of a show! Well its time for ol’ Hillbilly to get on the road as we trek closer to the main event on April 1. See you there!
