Milestone meaningless to Cena
September 16, 2007
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – John Cena is one day away from a very special milestone – a landmark that is in jeopardy tonight at Unforgiven. September 17, 2007 marks the one-year anniversary of his incredible reign as WWE Champion. Should he hold on to the WWE Championship in a very personal battle with Randy Orton tonight, he will become the first Superstar in almost two decades to hold on to the title for a year.
High-flying hopes at Unforgiven
September 15, 2007
After briefly taking the World Tag Team Championship during a tour in South Africa and getting the best of Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch last Monday on Raw, do Paul London & Brian Kendrick have the champs’ number? Are they considered favorites in their title match against Cade & Murdoch this Sunday at Unforgiven?

Candice Michelle is facing an uphill battle to defend her Women’s Championship against the mountain-like Glamazon Beth Phoenix this Sunday at Unforgiven. Trish Stratus can relate.
Deadman's requiem for a heavyweight
September 14, 2007
The time for mind games is over. Unforgiven draws near, and with it, the stench of a Deadman’s wrath. And should that familiar death knell toll for Mark Henry at Sunday’s pay-per-view, what will the return of The Phenom mean for the entire SmackDown roster?
Reign curtailed?
September 14, 2007
This Sunday marks the next big moment in the young career of ECW Champion CM Punk. Capturing the title less than two weeks before Unforgiven, the Straightedge Superstar is walking into Memphis, Tenn., to defend his newly acquired title for the first time against Elijah Burke – and he will do it on the grand stage of a major pay-per-view.
Have Orton's headgames already made history?
September 13, 2007
If Randy Orton wins the WWE Championship at Unforgiven this Sunday, he will not point to Sept. 16, 2007 as the day he made history. He will tell anyone who’ll listen that he really won the WWE Championship on Aug. 27, 2007 – the day he punted John Cena’s father in the skull and got inside The Champ’s head.
Sour grapes fuel Carlito
September 12, 2007
When Carlito sees Triple H, he sees everything he resents and hates about his career so far.
Will Rey Mysterio Make it to Unforgiven?
September 12, 2007
“If Rey Mysterio can make it to Unforgiven, he won’t be alone.” That’s how SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long informed The Great Khali that his World Heavyweight Title defense at Sunday’s pay-per-view was now a Triple Threat Match that also included Batista. But the one word that is perhaps more telling – and alarming – than anything else in Long’s remark is the two-letter conjunction that immediately casts doubt and pessimism in any phrase, regardless of its use: "If."
Eyes on the prize

Matt Hardy has been one-half of the gold standard in the tag team circuit since his arrival in WWE. Having stood atop the tag team world on seven occasions, he has been used to looking over his shoulder and seeing the familiar, reassuring presence of his brother and tag partner, Jeff. Until now.
Triple H playing risky game
September 11, 2007
GREEN BAY, Wis. – Most people would not respect anyone who spat in their face. But not Triple H. And if you watched The Game closely two weeks ago during his encounter with Carlito, he smiled as phlegm and red delicious apple chunks ran down his eyes and cheeks. He liked the fact that Carlito had the guts to spit in the face of someone he didn’t think was cool, even if that someone was the 10-time world champion and King of Kings.
