SmackDown’s Gold Standard has one thing on his mind – United States gold. Now that Matt Hardy is on ECW, he's determined to keep the United States Championship in the Land of the Extreme. And this Sunday, the two will square off at The Great American Bash with the title hanging in the balance.

Benjamin and Hardy recently faced off in the WWE ring on SmackDown. In the high-flying, chance-taking encounter, Benjamin was successful in beating Hardy, but did it give the Gold Standard enough momentum leading to The Great American Bash? Will the former Intercontinental Champion and WWE Tag Team Champion add another title to his list of “Golden” accolades?

Hardy, who has been a dominant ECW Superstar since he joined the Land of the Extreme during the 2008 WWE Draft, also had a banner week heading into the Bash. He picked up a tag team win over the WWE Tag Team Champions, The Miz and John Morrison, with his brother, SmackDown's Jeff Hardy.
