Instant Access - Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio catches up with WWE Instant Access
Nov. 1, 2005

WWE.com caught up with several Superstars after their matches at Taboo Tuesday. Here is what Rey Mysterio had to say after he & Matt Hardy defeated Gene Snitsky & Chris Masters:

WWE.com: What made you prouder tonight, being at home in the "619" or representing SmackDown at a huge RAW pay-per-view?

Mysterio: I think the thing that made me proud was being the hometown boy, representing SmackDown, and that I wasn't let down because I had a great tag team partner in Matt Hardy. Put Matt and I together and we're dynamite.
San Diego. Explosive.

WWE.com: Even though this was a RAW pay-per-view, did you feel that you had a clear home field advantage?

Mysterio: Without a doubt. In my case, when you represent your city, as Rey Mysterio does, the only thing they can give you back is your love. And that's what I felt tonight.

WWE.com: Based on your history with Matt Hardy, what was it like being tag-team partners tonight?

Mysterio: I think we pretty much left history aside tonight. I think something arised today that could be another of the greatest tag teams ever to be formed.

WWE.com: Having gotten your start in Lucha Libre in Tijuana, can you explain to those who don't know what Lucha Libre is and what impact it has on your in-ring style?

Mysterio: For those who don't know what it is, Lucha Libre is more of a free style of wrestling. It's more of "be who you want to be" in the ring without any barriers. The way it has helped me is that I'm proud enough to say that I was able to bring Lucha Libre to the
United States. Most of the fans ask me the same question. It's an honor.
