SummerSlam marked Layla El’s very wet initiation as a WWE Diva. After walking in the ladies’ locker room, Layla was shunned by WWE Divas Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Maria, Candice Michelle, Jillian Hall, Ashley and ECW Vixen Kelly Kelly. Layla tried to introduce herself to the Divas, but they acted like they wanted no part of her.

As announced on WWE.com last week, SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long has set a match between two former friends at SummerSlam, as Rey Mysterio will go one-on-one with Chavo Guerrero. When WWE Champion Edge climbs into the ring with his challenger, John Cena, at SummerSlam, he may be facing a competitor that’s hungrier to defeat him than ever before. The Rated R Superstar crossed the line when he traveled to the Cena residence in West Newbury, Mass., and intruded at Cena’s father’s home. Then, Edge did the most deplorable thing imaginable—he hit Mr. Cena with a devastating right handed slap, knocking him to the ground in his own house.

WWE invades Boston

WWE Hall of Famers Jimmy Hart and “Mean” Gene Okerlund will host the event, which promises a night jam-packed with events between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
