Jericho vs. Del Rio

Not only has The Showoff, Dolph Ziggler, tried to get to Chris Jericho mentally, he got to Jericho physically by attacking him backstage before his main event match against Alberto Del Rio on SmackDown. (WATCH) Unsatisfied with his pre-match assault, Ziggler reverted back to mind games by costing Jericho the match. (WATCH)

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Ziggler’s assessment of Chris Jericho’s win-loss record in pay-per-view matches is abysmal between Jericho’s return to WWE in January and The 25th Anniversary of SummerSlam.

  • Royal Rumble Match (Sheamus eliminated Jericho to win his WrestleMania World Championship Match)
  • Elimination Chamber (Jericho failed to win the Raw Elimination Chamber Match)
  • WrestleMania XXVIII (Jericho fell to WWE Champion CM Punk)
  • Extreme Rules (Jericho lost to WWE Champion CM Punk again in a Chicago Street Fight)
  • WWE Over the Limit (Jericho failed to win the World Heavyweight Championship Fatal 4-Way Match against fellow challengers Randy Orton and Alberto Del Rio and World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus)
  • Money in the Bank (Jericho failed to win Money in the Bank Ladder Match for a WWE Championship Contract against Kane, Big Show, The Miz and John Cena )

Six WWE pay-per-views. Six losses for Chris Jericho. Will seven be a lucky number for Jericho, the first-ever Undisputed WWE and World Heavyweight Champion, or will Dolph Ziggler vanquish a future WWE Hall of Famer in an effort to build a Hall of Fame resume of his own?
