Is Women's Champion Michelle McCool the best ever?
At The Bash, Michelle McCool defeated Melina to become the new Women's Champion. (PHOTOS) With the win, the sexy, smart and powerful Diva became the first ever to hold the Divas Championship and the Women's Championship. (Divas Championship photos)
As reigning Women's Champion, exactly where does McCool rank among all Divas past and present? If you ask her, she'll tell you straight out that she is the best ever.
"Being the first to win both the WWE Women's Title and WWE Divas Championship is just the latest reason why I am better than all of the so-called 'Divas' who preceded me," McCool said.
Those are bold statements, considering the high-caliber Divas who have come before her:
- The Fabulous Moolah (First title reign lasted nearly 34 years; WWE Hall of Famer)
- "Sensational" Sherri Martel (AWA and WWE Women's Champion; WWE Hall of Famer)
- Madusa/Alundra Blayze (All Japan, AWA and WWE Women's Champion)
- Trish Stratus (Record-setting seven-time Women's Champion; retired as Champion at Unforgiven 2006 in her hometown of Toronto)
"Making history is difficult, almost impossible, for those without my athletic ability and intelligence," the champion said. "I'm a collegiate All-American athlete and earned a master's degree in education from Florida State University."
"Not only do I do things so much better than all of my fellow 'Divas,'" she added, "I make being bad look so good."
