SmackDown Five-Point Preview: Oct. 19, 2012

Will The Miz’s treacherous week get even worse when Team Hell No comes to “Miz TV”?

Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz - Intercontinental Championship Match: WWE Main Event, Oct. 17, 2012

Kofi Kingston faces The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship on WWE Main Event.

After suffering a brutal kick on Monday’s Raw and then losing his prized Intercontinental Championship to Kofi Kingston on WWE Main Event, The Miz sure could use a reprieve. The Awesome One might be in for even more punishment, however, when he hosts “Miz TV” tonight on SmackDown with special guests WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No.

Kane & Daniel Bryan will bring their interpersonal issues to Miz’s talk show, which has featured Superstar guests like Kingston, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus, General Manager Booker T and the unexpected Ryback. Will the former Intercontinental Champion raise the ire of the irritable duo and sustain yet another deflating kick to the gut? Or could an interview with the WWE Tag Team Champions actually benefit the freefalling Miz? Without a doubt, talking is what the outspoken Superstar does best. And if he can take command of the situation tonight, perhaps it will get him back on his game altogether.

Either way, WWE’s most divisive tag team appearing on the controversial talk show truly is must-see (Miz) TV.

Will there be another sneak attack between The Viper and The Mexican Aristocrat prior to their match at Hell in a Cell?

Alberto Del Rio impersonates Randy Orton: SmackDown October 5, 2012

Alberto Del Rio does his impersonation of Randy Orton.

On Raw, it was announced that Randy Orton will face two-time WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio at Hell in a Cell. Things between the two have exploded, and it would not be surprising if the cunning combatants cannot wait until the upcoming pay-per-view and simply decide to throw down on SmackDown. After all, their rivalry has been an extremely bitter and personal one, filled with sneak attacks on both sides

Del Rio has performed his best Orton impression in recent weeks, mocking WWE’s Apex Predator. That might not be the best idea, as his target is not only a nine-time World Champion, but also as brutal a Superstar as there is on the WWE roster. It’s hard to imagine that they won’t come to blows yet again on the road to “Hell.”

Does Big Show have more scores to settle before his World Title opportunity?

Daniel Bryan vs. Big Show: Raw, Oct. 15, 2012

WWE Tag Team Champion Daniel Bryan goes one-on-one with Big Show.

The World’s Largest Athlete kicked off Raw by demanding a match with the Superstar who was responsible for ending his much-maligned 45-second World Heavyweight Championship reign, Daniel Bryan.

Big Show indeed got his match against the WWE Tag Team Champion and subsequently finished the submission technician with a devastating chokeslam. Will The World's Largest Athlete feel the need to settle any other scores as he heads toward his World Heavyweight Title Match against Sheamus in nine days?

If he does set his sights on a target, one thing is for sure: Big Show certainly has no shortage of KO Punches to dole out.

Should the WWE Universe expect another 3-on-1 assault from 3MB?

3MB crashes the stage at Honky Tonk Central in Nashville: Raw, October 15, 2012

3MB crashes the stage at Honky Tonk Central in Nashville.

For weeks now, the new power group of Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre has attacked Superstars on SmackDown and Raw. This Monday, after Santino Marella & Zack Ryder lost a tag team match to The Prime Time Players, the tuneful trio emerged and administered a synchronized stomping on “Team Co-Bro.”

Sporting new matching outfits, they declared they are the "3MB,” and they are going to make waves in WWE. Thus far, they have done just that, repeatedly attacking the likes of Brodus Clay, Marella and Ryder.

Should the WWE Universe look out for another triple onslaught from 3MB on SmackDown when Slater takes on Clay one-on-one? Or will Friday be an opportunity for The Funkasaurus to get his revenge?

Will Kaitlyn’s assailant finally be revealed?

Layla vs. Eve - Divas Championship Match: Raw, Oct. 15, 2012

Layla gets an opportunity at Eve's Divas Championship on Raw.

Since Kaitlyn was mysteriously injured by a masked blond attacker at the Night of Champions pay-per-view on Sept. 16, the Divas division has been extremely chaotic.

Even though Eve won the butterfly-emblazoned Divas Title that night from Layla and has held the championship for more than one month, her reign has not brought any added stability to the Divas roster. Not only did Eve’s Raw match against Layla end in controversy, but also Kaitlyn’s Night of Champions attacker has not been exposed. Is Booker T’s administration any closer to an answer? Will this puzzling mystery be solved on SmackDown?

If things continue this way, Kaitlyn may find herself asking a question that the WWE Universe is also asking: What’s up with the dysfunctional Divas division?
