Randy Orton must deal with major distraction before facing Big Show in a World Heavyweight Championship No. 1 Contender Match.

Since World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus won his illustrious title at WrestleMania XXVIII in 18 seconds, he has bulldozed the competition, looking all but unbeatable in the process. Despite, at times, not having the use of an injured arm or even his devastating Brogue Kick, The Great White has nonetheless persevered and successfully defended his championship gold against some of WWE’s most dangerous Superstars, including Alberto Del Rio, Dolph Ziggler, Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan.

But there’s one Superstar who’s not on that list, one athlete who Sheamus has never faced one-on-one, let alone with his invaluable World Title on the line. That’s The World’s Largest Athlete, the devastating and incomparable Big Show.

After defeating Randy Orton in a No. 1 Contender’s Match on the Sept. 28 episode of SmackDown, Big Show finally has a long-awaited match against Sheamus, an opportunity to reclaim the World Title he held last year for little less than one minute. Above all, the giant is bound and determined to redeem himself for that embarrassment.

Could The Great White’s lengthy title reign be in its final stages as he prepares to take on his colossal adversary? Since Big Show presents unique problems for first-ever Irish-born World Heavyweight Champion with his massive size and strength — in addition to his extensive in-ring experience — will the giant be the one to end the brawling champion’s reign?

Big Show’s extraordinary attributes, in particular his arresting size advantage, give him a fantastic chance headed into what could be called the biggest match of his long and decorated career. Show, much like Sheamus, has looked dominant recently, tearing through his opponents with ruthless brutality. In his defeat of Randy Orton on SmackDown, he showed his power and ferocity, in addition to his fully loaded arsenal, which boasts his high-impact chokeslam and the similarly devastating WMD. The latter was also used to knock out both Brodus Clay and Tensai on the Sept. 24 episode of Raw. ( WATCH)

But Sheamus should never be counted out of any match, even against the likes of the dangerous giant. The brawler from Ireland personifies the term “fighting champion,” as he’s willing to lay it all on the line against anyone. He’s one of the toughest champions in WWE history and taking him lightly is tantamount to asking for a Brogue Kick to the face.

As Sheamus stated on SmackDown, being the World Champion means everything to him and he will proudly defend his title against any Superstar, as he has done throughout the duration of his reign. The Celtic Warrior will be nearly seven months into that dominant title run when the two clash at Hell in a Cell on Oct. 28. Moreover, it’s worth noting Sheamus has not been pinned in singles competition since November 2011, months before capturing the World Heavyweight gold on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Even though Sheamus has been on a historically dominant roll, all things must pass. Could that time be now? Could Big Show be the Superstar who will solve the puzzle and seize the World Heavyweight Championship? The answers will come at Hell in a Cell on Oct. 28, when The Great White looks to defend his title against The World’s Largest Athlete.
