Venomous Viper is back for Daniel Bryan
Tonight on SmackDown, a vengeful Randy Orton returns to the ring to wage war on World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan, the very Superstar who denied The Viper his opportunity to headline WrestleMania.
Orton has been out of action since Bryan viciously clobbered him from behind with his World Heavyweight Title on Raw SuperShow just a little more than two weeks ago (WATCH | PHOTOS), a move that left WWE’s Apex Predator with a concussion. As a result of the attack, Orton was forced out of the SmackDown Elimination Chamber Match, costing him a chance at capturing his fourth World Heavyweight Championship and the opportunity to main-event WrestleMania XXVIII on April 1 in Miami.
Unfortunately, this is The Viper’s second stint on the injured list in recent months. After a fierce brawl with Wade Barrett left him at the bottom of a flight of stairs on the final SmackDown of 2011, The Viper returned to annihilate the former bare-knuckle fighter in a brutal No Disqualification Match – finishing off The Barrett Barrage with an RKO onto a steel chair.
Now that Orton has the chance to get his redemption on Bryan, are his vicious actions in his bout against Barrett an indication of what lies ahead for the World Heavyweight Champion? Find out on SmackDown, this Friday at 8/7 CT, only on Syfy.
