Jey makes Reigns see double; Reigns sets consequences for Hell

“The KO Show” descends into chaos: SmackDown, Oct. 23, 2020

What starts as a possible alliance between longstanding foes Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens quickly turns into a power struggle between the best tag teams on the blue brand. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

“The KO Show” with special guest Daniel Bryan turned to chaos
Kevin Owens welcomed Daniel Bryan onto the first “KO Show” after the WWE Draft. Although Bryan talked more about the exciting future of SmackDown and the need for the Intercontinental Championship to be defended every week, the more intriguing idea came when Owens proposed that they attempt to join forces as a tag team.

Before that could be resolved, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode interrupted to declare themselves the blue brand’s greatest acquisition of the WWE Draft and the best tag team on the planet. At the mention of “the best,” however, SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Street Profits joined the party. Feeling disrespected, it wasn’t long before Shinsuke Nakamura & Cesaro also emerged to assert themselves as the team to beat on the blue brand.

The volatile situation quickly descended into chaos until WWE Official Adam Pearce was left little choice but to create an impromptu Eight-Man Tag Team Match.

In the aftermath of a chaotic “KO Show,” the most powerful tag team combinations on the post-Draft SmackDown landscape faced off in the hopes of establishing themselves at the top of the blue brand.

Fighting through a knee injury in the middle of the contest in heroic fashion, Daniel Bryan kept the match alive. And amidst all-out bedlam between the eight Superstars, Montez Ford launched himself off the top rope to hit his gravity-defying Frog Splash on Cesaro for the victory.

Law & Otis – Part 2 - The Verdict: SmackDown, Oct. 23, 2020

The Workin’ Man Superstar faces his moment of truth as the decision is made on Law & Otis. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Miz emerged victorious in Law & Otis trial; Otis must defend Money in a Bank contract against Miz at WWE Hell in a Cell
With Judge JBL presiding, Bailiff Ron Simmons keeping order, and eventually Theodore “Teddy” Long as the court stenographer, Otis looked to defend his Money in the Bank contract in court against The Miz & Morrison. Although Miz took over the opening statement from his attorney, Otis stole it back with simple execution, and Miz fired his lawyer.

Then followed testimony from John Morrison, Rey Mysterio, Asuka - who testifying in Japanese - and Heavy Machinery’s Tucker. And just when it looked as if the honorable JBL might rule in Otis’ favor, a mysterious last-minute piece of “evidence” from Miz made him quickly change his mind with a huge smile on his face. JBL therefore made the stunning ruling in favor of The Miz and declared that Otis must face him for the Money in the Bank contract this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell!

Bianca Belair def. Zelina Vega
With a volatile history already established from earlier this year, Bianca Belair and Zelina Vega arrived on SmackDown ready to square off and write a whole new chapter to their rivalry.

The EST of WWE once again proved that she deserves her namesake, overcoming Vega with the earth-shattering K.O.D. Indeed, Belair has already taken the first step to establishing herself on the blue brand.

Despite his determination, Lars continued his unrelenting destruction by laying waste to his outmatched opponent before finishing him off with the Freak Accident. When Kayla Braxton approached Shorty G after the match to ask how he felt, the war-torn Superstar responded with a simple “I quit.”

When WWE Official Adam Pearce questioned him about this statement backstage, he clarified that he is quitting being Shorty G and is reinventing himself once again as Chad Gable.

Sasha Banks unleashed chair assault to force Bayley to sign the contract

After refusing to sign the contract for the Hell in a Cell Match one week ago, SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley made the mistake of mocking The Boss and claiming Sasha Banks doesn’t deserve the title.

A determined Banks emerged looking for a fight, and after the titleholder missed her attempt to hit her with the chair, Banks took charge. After trapping Bayley in the chair, she locked her in the Bank Statement and wouldn’t let go until Bayley finally signed.

“The SmackDown Savior” Seth Rollins went to war against his former disciple Murphy in a personal showdown, with Aalyah Mysterio watching closely backstage. Despite Murphy heroically fighting through an injury, Rollins emerged victorious with a Stomp.

After the bell, Rollins looked to continue his attack with a post-match Kendo stick assault. This brought Aalyah to the ring with her brother Dominik on her heels. And when she threw herself in front of Rollins to stop his wrath, a reluctant Dominik was forced to get her out. After Rollins attacked him from behind, Rey Mysterio came to the rescue with the chair. While Rey tried to set his children right, Aalyah went to help Murphy, and Rollins retreated smiling.

Jey Uso enlisted his brother to launch a sneak attack on Universal Champion Roman Reigns. But that didn't stop The Big Dog for revealing brutal consequences to his cousin for this Sunday. Catch WWE action on WWE Network, FOX, USA Network, Sony India and more.

Jey used his brother Jimmy Uso to treat Roman Reigns to a pre-Hell in a Cell beatdown
Universal Champion Roman Reigns came to the ring ready to lay out the consequences of Jey Uso facing him in Sunday’s Hell in a Cell “I Quit” Match. Instead he got Jimmy Uso, wearing a mask so he looked like his brother, appearing on the TitanTron to reveal himself to be at Reigns’ suite. This infuriated The Big Dog long enough for Jey to launch a sneak attack from behind and hit Reigns with a superkick and an Uso Splash to humiliate his cousin en route to Sunday’s Hell in a Cell showdown.

As The Usos celebrated up the ramp, a fuming Reigns laid out the consequences of Hell in a Cell. Namely, that if and when Jey quits, he will fall in line and do what The Tribal Chief tells him. And if he didn’t, he, Jimmy Uso, Naomi, their children and their children’s children would all be out!
