Phenom and Animal to Rumble at MSG
Question: What has seven World Championships, two Royal Rumble Match victories and a chance to earn the opportunity to be in a World Title Match at WrestleMania for the second straight year?
Answer: The combined resume of Batista and Undertaker, the two latest entrants into the 2008 Royal Rumble Match.
Hot on the heels of two more Superstars -- Hornswoggle and Mick Foley -- qualifying for the Royal Rumble Match on Raw Monday night, these former World Heavyweight Champions have been granted entry into this year's 30-man melee, adding even more star power to the fracas.
Both Superstars have won the Royal Rumble Match before -- Batista in 2005, Undertaker last year -- and both went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship at those years' respective WrestleManias. In fact, it was Batista whom Undertaker defeated last year at WrestleMania 23 to win that title.
After failing to Beat the Clock on the first Friday Night SmackDown of 2008, The Animal and The Phenom have been given the chance to earn another opportunity at a World Championship, as they will join such Superstars as WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz & John Morrison, World Tag Team Champion Hardcore Holly, Umaga and others in the 2008 edition of the annual 30-man spectacular.
Will Undertaker go back-to-back and win his second consecutive Royal Rumble Match -- a feat only accomplished three times in the event's 20-year history? Can Batista claim his second Rumble victory and earn the chance to become a four-time World Champion at WrestleMania 24? Our fans will find out in New York City's Madison Square Garden on Jan. 27.
