WWE fans' questions

WWE fans need answers
January 28, 2007

WWE fans have gathered in droves at the AT&T Center, the site of tonight's Royal Rumble pay-per-view. WWE.com caught up with a few of those fans, and learned that they have some questions for the WWE Superstars. Here's what they had to say.

Chase Stites asks CM Punk:

What would it mean to you to win the Royal Rumble?

CM Punk answers:

For every kid who grows up wrestling and becomes a wrestler, I think it's part of their dream to win the Royal Rumble. If you do, you're guaranteed a spot at WrestleMania, and that would obviously be the goal. For me, I'd say winning the Rumble would be a dream come true. It was one of those events that I always watched when I was a kid, and growing up it felt like it was almost unattainable. I'm standing here staring at the set that's almost blinding me — they're doing a test run of the clock, and the ring ropes aren't even up yet, stuff like that — and it still hasn't sunk in that I'm in the Royal Rumble. Regardless of what anybody says, I've worked extremely hard to get here, and I've got to beat 29 other guys tonight to make my dream come true.

Adriana Duran asks The Miz:

Do you really think you can win the Royal Rumble Match?

Miz answers:

How dare she ask me that question! Are you kidding me? Do I really think I can win the Royal Rumble? No, I'm just gonna go there to be thrown over the top rope. I'm gonna be throwin' people left, I'm gonna be throwin' people right, I'll be throwin' 'em all over the place. I am going to win the Royal Rumble, and I'm gonna go to WrestleMania and be the main event, and win the World Heavyweight Championship. That's how high my expectations are for myself. If Adriana doesn't believe it, I could care less. You wanna know why? Cuz you could be good, you could be bad, but there's nothin' like bein' The Miz. Hoo-RAH!

Josh Cavazos asks Randy Orton:

Hey, Randy Orton, what are you going to do if you win the Royal Rumble? Who are you going to go against? Are you going to go against the WWE Champion, the World Heavyweight Champion or the ECW World Champion?

Randy Orton answers:

Well I think the only one you're supposed to go after is the World Heavyweight Champion, that would be the best of the best — so I'm definitely going after that one. Having the responsibility to be the champion in this company is something I'm looking for again. The answer to that question is very, very simple and that's the big gold, the big belt — World Heavyweight Championship all the way.

Danny Grimaldo asks Kennedy:

After beating Batista at the Royal Rumble, who do you want to face at WrestleMania 23?

Mr. Kennedy answers:

I'll take on whoever, it doesn't matter. Once I am the World Heavyweight Champion, everybody is going to be coming after me. People are going to wanna face me. It doesn't matter who I want to face, it's people who want my championship, who want my title. I don't care, bring it on -- I don't care who it is. It could be someone from the past, present or the future -- bring it.

Abdul Jones asks Sandman:

When you head to the ring for the Rumble Match, will you bring ECW rules with you? Will you bring a beer? Your Singapore cane?

Sandman answers:

I got the idea for the Singapore cane from the pool cues I used in bar fights. Tonight's the perfect night for it.

Daniel Cabrera asks John Cena:

How will you beat Umaga and work your way to WrestleMania 23?

Cena answers:

"The odds aren't exactly in my favor. I'm pretty banged up. The Last Man Standing Match isn't necessarily about how good of a technician you are. After tonight, when I make it through to WrestleMania, everyone will see it wasn't a miracle."
