"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan (spot No. 13) wins the 20-man Royal Rumble Match

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan emerged victorious from the first-ever Royal Rumble Match, which was fought under a 20-man format. Tito Santana and Bret "Hit Man" Hart were the first-ever Royal Rumble participants. One Man Gang was a force in this Rumble, eliminating one-fourth of its participants.
