Which team will match up better against Team Hell No at Hell in a Cell?
It’s all come down to this, then. Now that the semi-finals of the WWE Tag Team Titles No. 1 Contender’s Tournament have been completed, the high-flying Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara are set to square off against the high-fallutin' Team Rhodes Scholars this Monday on Raw. The winner of that bout will earn an opportunity at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view to challenge Team Hell No for their illustrious WWE Tag Team Titles. ( MATCH PREVIEW)
But which team would fare better against that formidable – though not-exactly-cohesive – unit of Kane & Daniel Bryan?
Let’s first look at Kane. In his storied career – spanning two decades – the monstrous Superstar has faced every imaginable in-ring opponent and style. Unquestionably a force to be reckoned with in any type of match, the shockingly agile, seven-foot Big Red Monster is certainly capable of thwarting even the most impressive top rope assault.
Kane’s partner, Daniel Bryan, has proven to be so skilled inside the squared circle that he can adapt to any style in order to walk away with a win. So, while the pair may be a bit dysfunctional at times, they are unarguably one of the most balanced, fearsome teams in quite a while.
So, which team might fare better against Team Hell No? WWE.com breaks down both potential match-ups in advance of their Monday meeting.

So, which team might fare better against Team Hell No? WWE.com breaks down both potential matchups in advance of their Monday meeting.
With their big victory over The Prime Time Players on the Oct. 8 episode of Raw, Rey Mysterio & Sin Cara continued their winning ways and made their biggest push yet to claim championship gold together. A lucha libre dream team, the two Mexican Superstars combine for one of the most unique and exciting offensive displays in the history of WWE. Their flashy, lightning-fast style begs the question: Can the power-hitter Kane and the submission specialist Daniel Bryan counter the fast-paced, high-flying assault likely to be brought by Mysterio & Sin Cara?
As mentioned, both Kane & Bryan are adaptable when it comes to their defensive abilities. Perhaps the larger question, then, is: Can Mysterio & Sin Cara counter the balanced offense Team Hell No will certainly bring to the bout? While he is definitely categorized as a highflier, Mysterio has years of experience in big matches under his belt, and has used a variety of styles to put away opponents. Even though Sin Cara does not have the WWE resume of his partner, he’s defended titles all over the world and will certainly rise to the challenge at WWE Hell in a Cell, if the opportunity is in the cards.
When it comes to Mysterio & Sin Cara, the WWE Universe knows exactly what to expect. The Master of the 619 is a former World Champion. This includes multiple tag team championship reigns, built on his inspiring ability to beat the odds with a flurry of awe-inspiring weapons at his disposal. While Sin Cara doesn’t have his partner’s experience in WWE, his offensive repertoire is well known for being high-risk and explosive. When the gravity-defying Superstar joins forces with The Ultimate Underdog, they may just possess an unorthodox enough approach to wrangle the titles from Team Hell No.
The recently formed (and aptly named) Team Rhodes Scholars is a bit more of an enigma than Mysterio & Sin Cara, though, and their future forecast is harder to predict.
So far, it seems as though the intellectual pair of Damien Sandow & Cody Rhodes possesses that all-important and innate component of every great tag team in history: chemistry. And with their Oct. 8 victory over Santino Marella & Zack Ryder in the semifinals, the newly minted team proved they could compete and win under pressure.
What’s more, as Sandow showed the WWE Universe in his brutal battle against World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus on the Oct. 1 episode of Raw, he means business. Shrewd and intellectual outside of the ropes, it’s easy to underestimate Sandow’s in-ring ferocity. But in that match against The Great White, Sandow pushed the champion to his absolute limit, announcing with authority his presence as a major player in WWE. Sandow was so impressive in that bout that it is entirely conceivable that the intellectual Superstar could neutralize The Big Red Monster.
While Sandow has proven he can be the blunt-force trauma inducer of the team, Rhodes brings a balanced, cerebral approach to the squared circle, and is perfectly suited to matchup against Daniel Bryan. If Team Rhodes Scholars can work as a unit and ensure that those two matchups — Rhodes vs. Bryan and Sandow vs. Kane — dominate the bout, the tournament’s dark horse team might just be able to dethrone the titleholders.
Whichever way Monday night’s matchup goes, though, the winning team will have a tough challenge ahead of them at WWE Hell in a Cell against the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions.
