Arena Report - The MARK of the Quad Cities
Tonight's edition of RAW comes to The MARK of the Quad Cities in Moline, Ill. What will happen when Lita and Maria square off in the Women's Championship semifinals in RAW's first visit to Moline in a year and a half?
RAW's last visit, on April 11, 2005, featured a Handicap Match pitting Triple H against The Hurricane & Rosey. The other half of DX had his hands full as well as the Heartbreak Kid fell to Daivari later that night.
RAW also invaded The MARK of the Quad Cities on Aug. 11, 2003 when Eric Bischoff defeated Kane by countout. Will we learn more about Bischoff and his allegiances this time on RAW? Also that night, Molly Holly defeated Trish Stratus and Gail Kim in a Triple Threat Match for the Women's Championship and Ric Flair fell to Goldberg in the main event, which featured Randy Orton as the guest referee.
WCW's Great American Bash 1997 was also broadcasted from the MARK of the Quad Cities. The main event pitted Randy Savage and Diamond Dallas Page in a Falls Count Anywhere Match. Ric Flair and Roddy Piper were also in action that night as they fell to the WCW Tag Team Champions the Outsiders.
The MARK of the Quad Cities hosts the Quad City Mallards ice hockey team and the Quad City Steamwheelers of arena football. It opened in 1993 and is famous for hosting the NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Tournament between 1996 and 1999 as well as legendary concert acts like Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart, David Bowie and Aerosmith.
