Game of Confidence
Last Tuesday morning in a statement on WWE.com, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon announced that Triple H would get his next championship opportunity this week on RAW. Heading into Monday night, The Game knows that he has his detractors, but says that talk is cheap.
"Everybody knows Cena can talk, and everyone can say what they want, but it's only a matter of time before I'm champion again," he said. "Deep down inside, Cena knows it, and that time is now. Monday night on RAW, the King of Kings goes back on his throne for an 11th time."
Triple H is very confident about the match, but he was also very confident heading into WrestleMania, where the WWE Champion made him tap out to the STFU. And in their Triple Threat Match at Backlash, Cena pinned The Game to make it two in a row. So the question remains…does the Cerebral Assassin think that Cena has his number?
"A lot of people thought they had my number over the years. I can think of 10 off the top of my head; funny, because that's how many championships I've won," a confident Game remarked. "The mark of a champion isn't winning or losing one match, it's what you do on a day-in-day-out basis. It's about being consistent. I stand on top of that heap, and John Cena knows it."
So will the third time be the charm for Triple H? The only way to find out is to tune into RAW this Monday night.
