intro

With Democratic Senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama locked in a heated battle for their party's presidential nomination, Raw has extended an invitation for them to instead settle their differences in the squared circle. Below, a host of WWE Superstars share their thoughts on the impending political confrontation.

Maria

"I don’t know if I necessarily want the two candidates literally fighting in the ring. I would rather see them have some really great debates on what’s going to happen when they actually get into office. It'd be great to have them here. If they want to have a verbal debate, sweet. But I don’t know how much I'd want to see Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton duke it out in the ring."

Santino Marella

This should be very interesting because, as I stated recently, woman have no place in the wrestling ring. If Hillary Clinton wants to impress me, make me an omelet. Barack Obama is going to teach this women a lesson, like I was about to teach Maria a lesson before the stupid Divas interfered. Good luck, Barack, and Hillary.

JBL

"I would like to give them each an invitation to drop out of the public eye. It's very telling that we were over in Nottingham [England], in Sherwood Forest, cause these two believe in the Robin Hood redistribution of wealth. Of taking from people like me, who have actually earned my money, and giving it to a bunch of people who haven’t done anything."

Michelle McCool

"If Barack and Hillary came to settle things inside the ring, I’m not sure what would happen, but it sure would be entertaining, wouldn’t it? You know, I like Barack more than Hillary, but when you put the two in the ring, she seems like she would get down and dirty. I'm not sure she’d be playing fair by any means. Its something I'd like to see, though."

Curt Hawkins

"Well, personally, I think without a doubt they should both take [a match] into serious consideration because the WWE fan base is unlike any other, so it will give each of them an opportunity to reach out to a whole other demographic. I mean I’m sure both of them tuned into WrestleMania, you know what I mean? The numbers don’t lie."

Zack Ryder

I have an invitation of my own for Hillary Clinton. If she wants Zack Ryder’s vote she can take her limo to my nice Long Island home and persuade me to vote for her.

Paul London

Well, I’m a baller from way back, and I heard Obama has some hoop skills, so, I personally would like to see them ball it up. I see enough violence in my everyday that I don’t really want to see anymore. So, I wouldn’t be really down to see them duke it out. Plus, I’m not a fan of female violence - I would rather see them play basketball.

I think it's going to be a big thing. I think it’ll be a good thing, too, because in the ring anything can happen. You never know who's going to hit the ring to help, and you just don’t know what the outcome is going to be. But for me, personally, I think Hillary is going to pretty much take control. She’s going to do him in, 1-2-3.

Kofi Kingston

"Well, you know, violence is never really the answer, especially when it comes to politics. Being from Jamaica, violence is something that we don’t like to encourage as far as politics. Whether we can help out or not is the question. But if I had to put my money on a certain person, I might have to go with Hillary. She looks like she don’t play around."

Colin Delaney

"What better way to settle an election than get the two of them in a ring, let them duke it out? What better exposure than Monday Night Raw? I don’t even want to venture a guess who would come out on top, probably Hillary. She seems like a scrapper. Yeah, definitely Hillary. She’d probably kick my ass, that’s not saying much, but I’m sure she could."
