Come and get it

Last night saw the first-ever defense of the ECW World Title on Raw, as Mr. McMahon gave any Raw Superstar the opportunity to face Bobby Lashley. Kenny Dysktra stepped up to the plate, but the ECW World Champion defeated him with a crushing powerslam.

"I feel really good," Lashley said after his victory. "I've been beating people up my whole life for a living. This is just another notch in the belt."

Lashley originally went to Raw for Undertaker's announcement about which championship he would be fighting for at WrestleMania 23. The Deadman chose Batista's World Heavyweight Championship and several Raw Superstars laid claim to face WWE Champion John Cena at WrestleMania. McMahon came out and claimed that the reason no one had challenged Lashley for his title was because he could've been the best champion standing in the ring last night.

"It's an honor," said Lashley. "John Cena and Batista are great champions. That's a high title he gave me, but like I said, I've been fighting all my life, so I think it's justified."

The confident Dykstra attempted to become the youngest World Champion in WWE history. While he has enjoyed much success in his career so far, he came up short last night.

"He's a really brave kid to stand up to me, so I have respect for him for doing that," said Lashley. "It wasn't the smartest thing to do, though."

While Lashley wasn't sure when he will defend his ECW World Title next, he was certain about being ready to face his next opponent.

"I have this title with me all the time so anytime someone wants to step up they can go ahead and do so," said Lashley. "I wouldn't want to fight me, so whoever wants it can come and get it."
