Arena Report - Centurytel Center

The 14,000-seat CenturyTel Center is located on the banks of the Red River in Bossier City, Louisiana. Home to the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings arena football team and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs ice hockey team, the arena first opened to the public in the late fall of 2000.

One of the most modern arenas in the country, the CenturyTel houses two food courts and over 4,000 parking spaces. With events ranging from concerts to rodeos and everything in between, it's no wonder the arena is thought of as one of the top entertainment destinations in the world.

WWE.com spoke to Tom Williams, the General Manager of the arena, "WWE [events] help us do what we want to do in the community which is provide a diverse and wide range of events. We host a wide variety of things so we want everybody in our marketplace to have a reason to come here at least once or twice a year. Events like WWE help us accomplish that." Williams fondly remembers the arena's second Allan Jackson concert, "There were 12,000+ people in the building. That's probably the only concert we've ever had where we did not have one ejection, one incident report, one report of a drunk or any patron medical issues. That is extremely rare."

Reginald Ross of the U.S. Air Force was at the arena extra this morning. Ross was picking up tickets for a young WWE fan who was still at home busily creating signs for the night's events.

The CenturyTel's reputation for the best in entertainment makes it a perfect location for the Raw Superstars to showcase their explosive brand of action. With Rated-RKO taking on Shawn Michaels in a Handicap Match, the Bossier City WWE fans (and everyone watching at home) are sure to be in for a treat.

For a look inside this state of the art arena, watch Raw tonight at 9/8 CT on USA Network.
