Big Show and WWE wish Floyd Mayweather, Jr. a very happy birthday

Happy birthday, Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Big Show wishes his WrestleMania XXIV foe, professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr., a very happy birthday.

Today, WWE celebrates the birthday of professional boxer, five-division World Champion and WrestleMania XXIV alumnus, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. In honor of the occasion, Big Show sent his one-time foe an exclusive message.

Following an altercation during No Way Out in 2008, in which Mayweather broke The World Largest Athlete’s nose, the celebrated pugilist stepped onto The Grandest Stage of Them All to take on the giant in a No Disqualification Match. Ultimately, David would triumph over Goliath, with a little help from some brass knuckles.

At The Show of Shows, “Money” Mayweather bonded with the WWE Universe and the locker room alike and formed a lasting friendship with WWE COO Triple H. The Game even accompanied Mayweather to the ring for his victorious fights against welterweight Juan Manuel Marquez in Sept. 2009, and Light Middleweight Champion Miguel Cotto in May 2012 – the latter alongside one of Mayweather's daughter's pop idols, Justin Bieber.

The boxing great also served as a special guest host on Raw in Aug. 2009,  offering some sage fighting advice to Mr. McMahon before the WWE Chairman joined DX in Six-Man Tag Team action.

As Mr. Mayweather prepares for his upcoming fight against Manny Pacquiao on May 2, WWE would like to wish him a happy birthday and many happy returns.
