Raw Five-Point Preview: Oct. 13, 2014

We’re two weeks away from WWE Hell in a Cell, and the temperature on Raw is about to hit a boiling point as WWE’s flagship show emanates from “Hotlanta.” From the intensifying rivalry between John Cena and Dean Ambrose to the anticipated bout between Big Show and Rusev, this Raw is already shaping up to be must-see. What else is in store? WWE.com has some ideas.

Cena and Ambrose descend into “Hell”

Raw Five-Point Preview: Oct. 13, 2014

Ambrose doesn’t think he’s going to beat John Cena at WWE Hell in a Cell, he knows it. However, despite The Lunatic Fringe’s confident words Friday night during SmackDown’s 15th Anniversary, the unstable Superstar ultimately ate a surprise Attitude Adjustment — a bit of retaliation after Ambrose left Cena laid out at the conclusion of last week’s Raw.

The Cenation leader’s faced some tough competition as of late, ranging from the demented Bray Wyatt to the force of nature known as Brock Lesnar, but he’s never dealt with a foe quite as combustible — or as reckless — as Ambrose. Both competitors will collide in a No Holds Barred Match in two weeks for the opportunity to face their shared nemesis, Seth Rollins, inside the notorious structure. With emotions running high, will Cena and Ambrose continue their game of one-upsmanship on Raw?

Raw Five-Point Preview: Oct. 13, 2014

Not only is “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes coming to this week’s Raw, but we’ll also witness a special appearance by Todd Chrisley from USA Network’s “Chrisley Knows Best.”

With two of Atlanta’s biggest reality stars running amok on Monday night, The Authority is sure to have its hands full. Will NeNe show off some of the skills she displayed on “Dancing with the Stars”? Will the “Patriarch of Perfection” offer some parental advice to Adam Rose’s legions of Rosebuds? We’ll just have to wait and see.

Rocked, but not rolled

The Rock returns to interrupt Rusev: Raw, Oct. 6, 2014

The Rock makes a surprise experience on Raw and gets into a brawl with Rusev.

Last week, Big Show was rendered inactive and assigned to “sensitivity” training by The Authority, effectively canceling his scheduled match against Rusev and subjecting the WWE Universe to yet another tiring tirade by Lana and her muscled Super Athlete. However, before the Russian malcontents could finish running down the United States on Raw, The Rock made a surprise return and laid a star-spangled smackdown on The Hero of the Russian Federation.

For most Superstars, getting verbally and physically embarrassed by The People’s Champ would be difficult to recover from, but Rusev proved he’s as dangerous as ever with a decisive non-title victory over Intercontinental Champion Dolph Ziggler on SmackDown. Now that Rusev has laid down the challenge for a one-on-one collision on Raw, Big Show — as powerful as he is — might be wishing he had a Brahma Bull in his corner.

Who needs friends, anyway?

Raw Five-Point Preview: Oct. 13, 2014

AJ Lee doesn’t exactly play well with others. Last week on Raw, the Divas Champion walked out on her partner Emma during a tag team match against new best friends Paige and Alicia Fox, leaving the quirky dancer vulnerable to a two-on-one assault. Then, on SmackDown, AJ not only made Alicia tap out to the Black Widow, but handily repelled a post-match assault by The Diva of Tomorrow and her new gal pal.

Even though AJ’s lone wolf attitude initially seemed to leave her at a disadvantage, she’s more than capable of handling herself against Paige and Alicia. Expect a response to what went down on SmackDown as Paige continues to covet the Divas Title.

Bray Wyatt has "fixed" Erick Rowan: Raw, Oct. 6, 2014

Watch The Eater of Worlds' cryptic message about the future of the imposing Erick Rowan.

For two weeks, Bray Wyatt has been mystifying the WWE Universe with labyrinthine video messages alluding to changes among The Wyatt Family’s ranks. First, The Eater of Worlds claimed to have “set free” Luke Harper, then Wyatt ranted that he had “fixed” Erick Rowan. Whatever it all means, we should be very, very afraid.

Don’t miss Raw this Monday at 8/7 CT on USA Network, and be sure to tune in to WWE Network for Raw Pre-Show at 7:30 ET and Backstage Pass immediately after the show!
