Raw SuperShow was a hit in multiple senses of the word this week, from the gold-plated beatdown guest host Cyndi Lauper gave to Heath Slater, to the whomping from John Cena that put "People Power" in its permanent grave, to AJ's latest, mind-boggling display of craziness (we think ... it's kind of hard to tell with her). A smashing guest host

Guest host Cyndi Lauper showed her, ahem, true colors on a Raw reunion with Wendi Richter and "Rowdy" Roddy Piper after Heath Slater interrupted the powwow to debut his earsplitting debut single. Lauper, never one to take offense lying down, quickly validated her WWE street cred by bashing The One Man Southern Rock Band over the head with a gold record Piper had just presented her, thereby giving Slater (wait for it) his biggest smash hit to date. The Devil's Favorite Diva

We've already outlined how chicks dig the mask, but AJ took the craziness to another level last night by prancing around the ring in her very own facsimile of The Big Red Monster's headgear, again distracting Kane enough that he lost focus on the match at hand, leaving his tag partner Daniel Bryan to be dispatched by the twin blows of a Go to Sleep and a Brogue Kick in their match against WWE Champion CM Punk & World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. Has AJ finally picked a potential suitor in this bizarre love quadrangle? Or is she using Kane as part of a bigger plan? Hmmm ...

Pour one out for "People Power"

Yes, John Laurinaitis was fired as of last night, but leave it to Mr. Excitement to finagle one final main event match out of "People Power." The controversial movement indeed went out with a bang, though not quite the one Big Johnny hoped for. A planned 3-on-1 Handicap Match teaming Laurinaitis with David Otunga and Big Show against John Cena went south fast when Show and Otunga left Big Johnny high and dry to face the thunderous assault of the Cenation leader. Three AA's and an STF later, and Mr. John Laurinaitis was officially future-endeavored. It's safe to say most of you were very happy about this.

The Best of the Rest

With Big Johnny gone the way of so many other future-endeavored Superstars, it's safe to say the biggest question on the WWE Universe's mind (apart from a few, er, unprintable "Where's Zack Ryder?" tweets) was who would succeed Laurinaitis as the permanent GM of Raw and SmackDown. Even CM Punk had an opinion on this one. Elsewhere, Dolph Ziggler seemed to finally get his foot in the singles scene (not like that, ladies), and Paul Heyman courted controversy with a bilious rant against The King of Kings, Triple H.
