Dreamer got his wish – but at Night of Champions, will he regret hoping to face former ECW Champion Captain Charisma?

Night of Champions will mark the first time Dreamer and Christian face each other one-on-one at a pay-per-view. During his ECW contract extension, Dreamer earned the ECW Championship – an achievement he hadn’t accomplished since 2000 – at Extreme Rules against then-titleholder Christian and former ECW Champion Jack Swagger. The ECW Original again held on to his title at The Bash when he won the ECW Championship Scramble against Christian, Mark Henry, Jack Swagger and Finlay. With the latter three Superstars gone to other WWE brands via Donald Trump’s Trade, the only Superstar standing in Dreamer’s way of holding on to his Extreme dream is Christian.

Both Dreamer and Christian are ECW Superstars motivated by heart, soul and fortitude. With the City of Brotherly Love as the Extreme backdrop to this colossal clash between friends, the ECW Championship Match at Night of Champions surely won’t be one to be missed. Will Dreamer continue his reign over the Land of the Extreme after Night of Champions? Or will Christian crush the ECW Original’s dream and leave Philadelphia a two-time ECW Champion?
