Matt Striker's Word of the Week for 10/24/06

Hello, my students. Thank you, but more importantly, thank yourselves, for voyaging to the Word of the Week for another kindling edition from me, Matt Striker, your teacher. Last week, we conferred about deoxyribonucleic acid, which is a quite ubiquitous substance in the brutal realms of Extreme Championship Wrestling.

This week, I offer yet another appendage to the anthology of Matt Striker’s Word of the Week. In fact, this week’s word is:

Appendage (uh-pen-dij)
1. a subordinate part attached to something; an auxiliary part; addition
2. a person in a subordinate or dependent position, especially a servile or parasitic follower

Let me provide you with a phrase. Last week, I was fortunate to maintain custody of my head in the Singapore Cane-on-a-Pole Match, a vastly important appendage to my body.

Another example: ECW old-timer Sabu has such an inane, vacuous mind, he believes that steel chair of his is an appendage to himself. The mysterious Tarot card reading Ariel may be considered an appendage to Kevin Thorn, the vampire Extremist. An appendage is simply an accessory, an attachment to a greater whole.
