Matt Striker's Word of the Week for 10/17/06
Hello, my apprentices. It is I, Matt Striker, your teacher, and I am here to permeate your ravenous minds with more wonderful terminology from the English language. This week’s word concerns Extreme Championship Wrestling at the utmost echelon. It is essentially the nucleus of what ECW is all about. This week’s word:
Deoxyribonucleic acid (dee-ok-si-rahy-boh-noo-klee-ik a-sid)
1. any of various nucleic acids that are usually the molecular basis of heredity, are constructed of a double helix held together by hydrogen bonds between purine and pyrimidine bases which project inward from two chains containing alternate links of deoxyribose and phosphate, and that in eukaryotes are localized chiefly in cell nuclei
For those of you with the obtuse mind of, say, Sandman, deoxyribonucleic acid is often referred to by its acronym, DNA. In ECW, deoxyribonucleic acid makes its most prevalent appearances in blood. Let me provide you with an example of how to use deoxyribonucleic acid:
Last night on ECW on Sci Fi, all of my 186 IQ was spilling out onto the arena floor, which can be quite dangerous in this time that we live in. Someone’s deoxyribonucleic acid can be littered with all kinds of disease and vermin and ignorance, if that is something that one can catch.
Class is dismissed for this week’s session of Word of the Week. But don’t be tardy for next week’s word on Wednesday after ECW on Sci with me… Matt Striker… your teacher.
