Josh Mathews began his career with WWE in 2001, after being a part of MTV’s Tough Enough. Subsequently, he was named as an interviewer for SmackDown, and announcer for Velocity. During his time on SmackDown, Mathews even had the opportunity to get inside the ring, compiling an undefeated (2-0) record to his credit.
Mathews then hosted a variety of WWE Mobile and WWE.com programs, including Weekly Top 5, Mobile News, the Mobile Channel, along with The WWE Experience and Afterburn, which can be seen in almost 150 countries worldwide. Recently, Mathews covered the 2008 presidential conventions exclusively for WWE.com.
Most recently, Mathews added the role of ECW's play-by-play announcer to his impressive list of accomplishments, sitting beside Matt Striker at the table.
