For the first time in over a year, SmackDown comes from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. SmackDown was last in Columbus on Aug. 11, 2005. That night, John Bradshaw Layfield attacked Batista during the Animal's match, attempting to get an edge in their rivalry before their match at SummerSlam. Randy Orton was also up to his legend-killing ways when he took on Kamala, only to be interrupted by an eerie message from Undertaker.

Surgery a success

Earlier today in San Diego, SmackDown Superstar Rey Mysterio underwent an intense surgical procedure to repair his ACL in his left leg. WWE.com spoke to Mysterio's surgeon Dr. David Chao who said the surgery was a success.

Former World Champion Rey Mysterio will undergo extensive surgery tomorrow to repair the anterior collateral ligament (ACL) and torn patella tendon in his left knee. Competing on this injury for months, the final straw for Mysterio's knee came at the hands of a steel chair-wielding Chavo Guerrero two weeks ago on SmackDown.

Challenging the Deadman

In a shocking announcement, the brash Mr. Kennedy told WWE.com today that he has challenged Undertaker to a match at Survivor Series. According to Kennedy, Undertaker is ruining his life and he wants to stop the trouble once and for all. The Deadman is aware of the challenge, and sources tell WWE.com that he will address the issue this Friday night on SmackDown.
