After a long year of first-evers, groundbreakers and more, WWE presents the return of the Slammy Awards on a special three-hour edition of Monday Night Raw on Dec. 8. While the nominees have yet to be announced by WWE officials, WWE.com is pleased to present the official categories for these unique entertainment distinguishments.

Slammy Awards: A look back

Who will win? Who will lose? And, most importantly, what will everyone wear? It's that time of year again, time for the WWE Slammy Awards. Created by the Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences in 1986, WWE's Slammy Award is arguably sports-entertainment's version of the Oscar -- only bigger. Nomination categories are chosen after much deliberation, and Slammys are awarded to the Superstars or Divas most deserving of these golden statues (in most cases, anyway).

WWE Mobile on AT&T: Hacksaw in Da Hood

Monday night on Raw, Kofi Kingston and CM Punk each prevailed in singles matches to secure their spots in the 8-Man Intercontinental Title Tournament. Many happy returns

Just 24 hours after Survivor Series, where John Cena made the most of his homecoming by winning the World Heavyweight Title from Chris Jericho, Raw had three eagerly anticipated returns of its own. Not only did The Champ make an appearance, having a brief altercation with the former title-holder, but Monday night also saw former Women's Champion Melina lead a team of Divas to victory, with the Greenbay Loudmouth himself, Mr. Kennedy, making an appearance as well.
