“Total Divas”: You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll … get engaged? This week’s outing of E!’s Diva drama is one of the more momentous ones yet, thanks to Brie Bella’s revelation that she wouldn’t necessarily mind if her injured husband never wrestled again. That’s an inconvenient opinion to have, as Daniel Bryan’s been cleared to return by his personal doctors and is fighting to get the same green light from WWE. On the other hand, Brie doesn’t want him to risk his health if they’re going to start a family as planned. Bryan, citing financial needs and general fulfillment of his dreams, pushes back, but it ends up a moot point, as Bryan’s return is put on hold indefinitely by WWE officials. It does, however, lead to a tense conversation between husband and wife where Brie can’t quite ask Bryan to cut his losses and call it a day.

On a (much) lighter note, Naomi has realized what the WWE Universe has known: Jimmy Uso is the funniest man alive. With an assist from Dolph Ziggler, she’s gotten Jimmy booked for a three-minute set at The Laugh Factory in Los Angeles, but she balks when his material turns out to just be a roast at her expense. The jokes she makes him come up with instead never rise above knock-knock level, so Naomi decides to swallow her pride and let Jimmy do his thing, only he ends up roastingDolphinstead, to the delight of everyone present. WWE Network’s Cheap Pops II, perhaps?

And, finally, we get to the good stuff: Paige’s boyfriend Kevin has been acting a bit strange, and it doesn’t take much of a leap to figure out he’s going to propose to her. Thanks to some snooping from Emma and her roommate, they even find the ring, but the commitment-averse Paige is waffling big time. She resolves to offhandedly mention that she’s not ready for marriage to nip the pre-nuptials in the bud, but Kevin beats her to the punch and pops the question in a tattoo parlor. What’s a Diva to say? Why, “yes!” of course. See what’s next for Paige and the rest of E!’s “Total Divas” Tuesday nights at 9/8 C.
