WWE.com, in conjunction with The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences, ranks the Top 25 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 25. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring dominance, as well as intangibles. Be sure to check back every Saturday for the latest POWER 25. Here are the rankings for December 2:

This Week Movement Superstar Last Week
1

JOHN CENA

After surviving the ECW World Champion's team, Cena appears to be the champion of champions for the time being.

1
2

BATISTA

Batista had the best week in WWE, becoming king of the jungle and defending his title against two unsuccessful predators.

4
3

BIG SHOW

His team didn't fare so well on Sunday, but what it all comes down to is whether or not Big Show will remain ECW World Champion after the Extreme Elimination Chamber.

2
4

DX

Captaining a shutout at Survivor Series makes DX worthy of jumping back into the top five.

6
5

LASHLEY

Can anybody stop Lashley? We'll find out at December to Dismember.

5
6

JEFF HARDY

The Intercontinental Champion and his brother issued a confident challenge at the press conference. Will their momentum continue through Sunday?

7
7

KING BOOKER

King Booker's reign as World Heavyweight Champion has come to an end and his kingdom is in shambles. Can he regain some pride?

3
8

UMAGA

He may have been disqualified on Sunday, but he went out in style. Is there anybody scarier in WWE right now?

9
9

RATED-RKO

Since they won the World Tag Team Championship, they've been moving in the wrong direction. Will they let DX get the better of them in the end?

8
10

CM PUNK

He had an impressive outing at Survivor Series. How will the straight-edge Extremist fare in his first opportunity at ECW gold?

10
11

CHRIS BENOIT

The Rabid Wolverine took out Chavo on Sunday, but he was outsmarted by the Guerreros on SmackDown. He is lucky that wasn't a championship match.

11
12

RIC FLAIR

Flair picked up two wins this week, but after the beating he took on Raw, he might not be at No. 12 for long.

13
13

ROB VAN DAM

He got through all of Heyman's obstacles and his opportunity at the ECW World Title has finally arrived. Will RVD be able to follow through?

14
14

CARLITO

Another week without a match has Carlito cooling off. Can he get hot again and jump back up the P25 next week?

12
15

JOHNNY NITRO

Nitro looks better than ever with Joey Mercury at his side. Can they quiet those over-confident Hardys on Sunday?

18
16

MR. KENNEDY

You can cut it up all you want, but Kennedy won that First Blood Match. Except for a couple of fears, Kennedy is back on track.

19
17

SABU

He didn't do too much at Survivor Series, or against RVD on ECW on Sci Fi. He can make a giant leap on Sunday, but he's heading into the Chamber with the least momentum of all.

16
18

TEST

He didn't survive this past Sunday, but he did hold his own against the on-fire CM Punk. Can he help his champion retain the gold?

17
19

CRYME TYME

JTG and Shad are spending too much time wreaking havoc on the rest of the world and not enough on WWE.

15
20

MATT HARDY

He and Jeff have certainly talked the talk, but will they continue to walk the walk at the extreme pay-per-view?

NR
21

WILLIAM REGAL

Regal and Dave Taylor have made sure their names are in any conversation about tag teams on SmackDown.

21
22

MVP

Even though he's not the best of friends with Kennedy, MVP has been gaining success with the Green Bay native. Will they continue to get the job done against the Brothers of Destruction?

23
23

LONDON & KENDRICK

These guys haven't looked much like WWE Tag Team Champions lately. They better pick it up soon or they could be off the P25.

22
24

CHAVO GUERRERO

Hiding from Benoit behind Vickie is pretty pathetic, but when it all comes down to it, Chavo got a huge win on SmackDown.

25
25

KANE

He helped his brother on SmackDown, but he couldn't manage to survive last Sunday. Coming off two losses to MVP, the Big Red Monster might not be so scary after all.

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

"Batista not only won the gold, but defended it as well this week. Shouldn't he be No. 1?" - Michael
The Academy replies: Batista had a tremendous week, but Cena has not given a reason why he shouldn't be No. 1. He had a sweet Survivor Series, too.

"Umaga loses and still improves? I thought this was the Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences." - John
The Academy replies: Would you have wanted to be in that ring, John? If Superstars needed any more reason to fear him, Umaga gave them one on Sunday.

"King Booker falls that much? He's still the King. All hail King Booker!" - Sammi
The Academy replies: He lost not one, but two championship matches this week. When King Booker gives the Academy a reason to, we'll hail him.

FAREWELL...

The following Superstar(s) failed to maintain their spot on the POWER 25 this week:

Spirit Squad - After the awful week the Squad had, they fall off of the P25, but the Academy wishes them the best of luck in Louisville.

KEEP AN EYE ON...

Keep an eye on the following Superstars during the upcoming week:

Mickie James – After crashing Lita's farewell party, the new Women's Champion may just be a win away from the P25.

Joey Mercury – He's in good company with MNM. If they continue their momentum, it won't be long before he's next to Nitro on the P25.
