WWE.com, in conjunction with The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences, ranks the Top 25 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 25. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring dominance, as well as intangibles. Be sure to check back every Saturday for the latest POWER 25. Here are the rankings for September 30:

This Week Movement Superstar Last Week
1

JOHN CENA

The WWE Champion earned two wins this week, including a taste of revenge against the Royal Court in the SmackDown kingdom.

1
2

BIG SHOW

The extreme giant moves back up to No. 2 after his Extreme Rules victory over ECW Original Sandman on ECW on Sci Fi.

4
3

EDGE

Edge twice got a jump on John Cena this week, spearing him after his SmackDown victory. Will he be able to handle The Champ inside the cage on RAW?

3
4

KING BOOKER

After "peasant" Bobby Lashley got a pin on the King, the World Heavyweight Champion drops two spots. His royal reputation and golden accessories keep him from falling further.

2
5

LASHLEY

Is there a hotter competitor in WWE right now? The No. 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship might just get the royal jewel around his waist at No Mercy.

5
6

BATISTA

The dream trio of Lashley, Cena and The Animal reigned supreme on SmackDown, and it may just be a matter of time before Batista is King of the SmackDown jungle once again.

7
7

DX

DX nearly ran the gauntlet, but Cade & Murdoch were once again a thorn in their sides. But after getting rid of the McMahons, DX is probably still on Cloud Nine.

8
8

UMAGA

The Samoan Bulldozer cost Kane the Intercontinental Championship once again, but his lack of solid wins lately seems to have thrown his P25 momentum into reverse.

6
9

SABU

Sabu holds steady at No. 9 for the third straight week. Will he continue his efforts to make Heyman sorry for abandoning the Extremists who made him?

9
10

MR. KENNEDY

Mr. Kennedy was stricken speechless for the first time since his debut when he saw the power of the Phenom. Will Undertaker silence him for good at No Mercy?

10
11

REY MYSTERIO

With a big win over Elijah Burke, it looks like Mysterio is focused on his career again, just in time to solve everything once and for all at No Mercy.

12
12

JOHNNY NITRO

After rocketing up the chart last week, Nitro cools off a little bit this week. Umaga may have saved his Intercontinental Championship once again, but he IS still champion regardless.

11
13

RANDY ORTON

The Legend Killer stays at No. 13 this week. He and Chris Masters may have lost on RAW, but it doesn’t seem to bother him as Orton still got the better of Carlito once the contest ended.

13
14

CARLITO

Carlito and Super Crazy are the ones who beat Orton and Masters, but the Caribbean Superstar sure doesn't believe that blindside RKOs are very cool.

16
15

RIC FLAIR

A victory over Mikey puts the "Nature Boy" 2/5 of the way to sweeping the Squad...and it also puts him back in the Top 15.

17
16

JEFF HARDY

Hardy spoiled Shelton's platform on RAW, and despite his setback at Unforgiven, Jeff has been on a tear in his first month back in WWE.

18
17

VITO

Where oh where has Vito gone? 8-10 p.m. Friday night isn't the time to go shopping for new dresses.

15
18

FINLAY

The Luck of the Irish seems to have run away from Finlay, who keeps dropping down the P25 like a shillelagh in barrel of Guinness.

14
19

CM PUNK

Punk holds tight at No. 19, which incidentally is admirer Kelly Kelly's current age. Surely, there are a lot of things in that last sentence that make Mike Knox upset.

19
20

KANE

The Big Red Monster can't seem to climb past No. 20, thanks to a Samoan Bulldozer that's been blocking his path at every turn.

20
21

THE MIZ

The Miz’s reality tour hits 5-0 after another win over Tatanka. Can anybody say, HOO-RAH?

22
22

LONDON & KENDRICK

The WWE Tag Team Champions drop a spot this week, but at least they know that they'll be in Ms. McCool's classroom at No Mercy.

21
23

ROB VAN DAM

Extreme math: 1 win over Hardcore Holly + 24 stitches for the opponent = the No. 23 spot on the P25. Hey, it ain't rocket science.

NR
24

MATT HARDY

The war between Matt Hardy and Gregory Helms is far from over; he may have dropped the bout to Chavo this week, but Matt's got another chance to silence Helms at No Mercy.

23
25

SPIRIT SQUAD

There's strength in numbers, but in recent weeks 5 has certainly proven to be less than 16...as in 16-time World Champion Ric Flair.

24

FAREWELL...

The following Superstar(s) failed to maintain their spot on the POWER 25 this week:

Kevin Thorn - While the Academy thanks Thorn for letting Ariel do her business in the ring, it's still one and done for the blood-thirsty Extremist.

KEEP AN EYE ON...

Keep an eye on the following Superstars during the upcoming week:

KC James & Idol Stevens – They're now the No. 1 Contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship; a win at No Mercy would get them London & Kendrick's spot.

Chavo Guerrero – Chavo picked up a big win over Matt Hardy on SmackDown; can he finish off Rey Mysterio once and for all at No Mercy?

Super Crazy - The luchadore has been en fuego since moving to RAW in early September.
