WWE.com, in conjunction with The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences, ranks the Top 25 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 25. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring dominance, as well as intangibles. Be sure to check back every Saturday for the latest POWER 25.
After the most tumultuous week in WWE history, WWE.com and The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences had their most challenging POWER 25 session ever. Over the past seven days, the face of WWE has changed completely. Because of that, there were a number of Superstars considered for this week's top spot. But after hours of oftentimes heated deliberation, the Academy agreed on Edge grasping the No. 1 ranking. The Rated R Superstar's decision to cash in his Money in the Bank at New Year's Revolution can be considered the move of the century, which helps edge out new World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, who was slightly hampered by being the first Superstar eliminated from Sunday's Elimination Chamber (click here for more on the Academy's decision). Here are the rankings for January 14:
