WWE.com, in conjunction with The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences, ranks the Top 25 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 25. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring dominance, as well as intangibles. Be sure to check back every Saturday for the latest POWER 25. Here are the rankings for January 13:

This Week Movement Superstar Last Week
1

JOHN CENA

The Academy salutes John Cena for accomplishing mission: impossible in ending Umaga’s undefeated run.

2
2

LASHLEY

The ECW World Champion has a big target on his chest for another test. It hasn’t been pretty the last two weeks, but he still has the gold.

1
3

BATISTA

Batista has SmackDown fans humming “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.” The Animal has been hibernating the past few weeks.

3
4

RATED-RKO (EDGEORTON)

New Year’s Revolution didn’t go exactly as planned, but they may have killed DX. That’s worth a lot to the World Tag Team Champions.

6
5

UMAGA

The Samoan Bulldozer hit his first real bump in the road. Is it enough to throw off his entire path of destruction?

4
6

JEFF HARDY

This was a huge week for Hardy, who is inches away from the top five after retaining the Intercontinental Championship two days in a row.

7
7

DX (HBK & THE GAME)

Mr. McMahon may have finally gotten his wish. Is this the end for the degenerates?

5
8

MR. KENNEDY

After beating Benoit twice in as many weeks, it’s surprising Kennedy doesn’t hail himself as honorary United States Champion. He may be in for something even bigger soon.

11
9

KING BOOKER

King Booker coasts to No. 9, riding high off of last week’s Beat the Clock victory.

10
10

CHRIS BENOIT

Were these past two losses to Kennedy a fluke or was winning the United States Championship a matter of luck? Benoit better get to work on proving the former.

8
11

CM PUNK

CM Punk and Umaga have something in common this week: both got their first loss. Can Punk rebound, or might he not be hardcore enough for ECW?

9
12

CARLITO

Carlito keeps it cool at No. 12 after breaking even this week. Can he settle this rivalry with the Masterpiece once and for all?

12
13

ROB VAN DAM

Two weeks, two inconclusive finishes in ECW World Title matches for RVD. Will the third time be a charm...or will there even be a third time?

13
14

TEST

Test has done everything in his power to prove he is worthy of a chance at the title, and in the process, he has been closing in on the top 10.

15
15
JOHNNY NITRO

Johnny Nitro falls after a hard-fought loss in the Steel Cage Match. Hey, at least his face was spared.

14
16

PAUL LONDON & BRIAN KENDRICK

The WWE Tag Team Champions continue to look like title holders in their domination of the SmackDown tag team division.

17
17

RIC FLAIR

The “Nature Boy” continues to struggle to come out on top against Kenny. Does the WWE Legend have any magic up his sleeve in store for the newcomer?

16
18

KANE

Has Kane’s fire cooled off since Armageddon? The Big Red Monster remains at No. 18 for now, but he better get back in the ring if he wants to stay much longer.

18
19

MATT HARDY

Hardy stays still after failing to beat the clock against Finlay. At least for this week, SmackDown fans will probably be asking, “Why can’t you be more like your brother?”

19
20

MONTEL VONTAVIOUS PORTER

SmackDown’s most valuable burn victim didn’t beat the clock, but he still has to get plenty of credit for jumping into that ring while he’s healing.

21
21

UNDERTAKER

The Deadman didn’t beat the clock, but nobody wanted to be the Miz Friday night.

22
22

KENNY DYKSTRA

Kenny is hitting the big time. He came pretty close to being Intercontinental Champion on Monday. This guy has a great future.

25
23

CRYME TYME (JTG & SHAD)

Cryme Tyme makes a well-earned return to the P25. The sky is the limit with their championship opportunity ahead.

NR
24

THE GREAT KHALI

After wreaking havoc in ECW, the Punjabi giant is on his way to shaking some ground in Raw.

NR
25

GREGORY HELMS

The Cruiserweight Champion went back to sitting on the title this week. He’s dangling on the edge of the P25. Can he climb back up?

WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

"First John Cena’s No. 1, then it’s Lashley; now it’s Cena again. Make up your mind, Academy!" - Jackie
The Academy replies: The Academy believes in fighting champions. No Superstars should be sitting up at No. 1 unless they deserve it each week.

"Triple H keeps fighting with that injury and even hits the Pedigree and DX still falls?" - Jen
The Academy replies: The fact of the matter may very well be that this is the end of DX. Unfortunately, effort doesn’t count that much.

"Benoit shouldn’t even still be in the top 10 after his performance lately." - Phil
The Academy replies: He’s still the United States Champion. If things continue the way they have though, Kennedy will make sure Benoit is out of the top 10.

FAREWELL...

The following Superstar(s) failed to maintain their spot on the POWER 25 this week:

Regal & Taylor - Regal & Taylor plummet off of the P25 after not being able to register a win in a month. Eat some red meat and toughen up, guys!

Victoria - She compiled some impressive wins, but she couldn’t finish in the one that counted most.

KEEP AN EYE ON...

Keep an eye on the following Superstars during the upcoming week:

Mickie James - After retaining her gold, Mickie has proven she truly deserves the Women’s Championship.

Hardcore Holly - He did what no other man has been able to do: beat CM Punk in a one-on-one match. What’s next for the hardcore Extremist?

Chris Masters - Trading wins wasn’t enough to get him on the P25 this week, but if he can have more finishes like Sunday’s, he’ll be in business.
