WWE.com, in conjunction with The Academy of Wrestling Arts & Sciences, ranks the Top 25 Superstars in wrestling each week with POWER 25. The rankings are based on victories, quality of opponents, momentum and overall in-ring dominance, as well as intangibles. Be sure to check back every Saturday for the latest POWER 25. Here are the rankings for January 6:
| This Week | Movement | Superstar | Last Week |
|---|---|---|---|

When the other champions drop matches or take a night off from the ring, a no contest is good enough for Lashley to become the first Extremist at No. 1 since RVD. |

Two losses? The WWE Champion is backing into his big match with Umaga. Can he rebound in time to save his title? |

| 3 |
With Umaga carrying the momentum into New Year’s Revolution, Batista will have to get back in that ring if he wants to stay in the top three. |
3 | |
| 4 |
Let’s face it; he’s been on a roll since his Raw debut… but Sunday marks his greatest challenge. |

| 7 |
Hardy moves up two spots after being the catalyst to Rob Conway's firing on Raw. Can he execute in similar form in Sunday’s Steel Cage Match? |
9 | |
| 8 |
The United States Champion hasn’t exactly been Mr. Consistent since his return. He drops after losing to Mr. Kennedy on SmackDown. |
7 | |
| 9 |
Punk falls one spot after a week off, but he has a big chance for redemption on ECW on Sci Fi if he can lock Hardcore Holly in the Anaconda Vise. |
8 | |
| 10 |
King Booker rebounded in royal fashion when he pinned Gregory Helms while beating the clock. |
11 | |
| 11 |
Mr. Kennedy fires up to No. 11 after taking out the man who holds the title that was once his. Can he continue this surge and push into the top 10 next week? |
14 | |
| 12 |
Another loss has Carlito beyond cool and at just plain cold. What will happen when his rivalry with Masters comes to a head this Sunday? |
10 | |
| 13 |
RVD put forth a good effort, but once again he came up empty-handed in an attempt to win back the ECW World Title. Maybe he should just give it up, already. |
12 | |
| 14 |
Nitro helped to pick up a DQ win on Raw, but that wasn’t enough to keep him at pace with the Superstars near him on the P25. |
13 | |
| 15 |
Test improves after another solid win. The ECW roster should watch out. He’s always talked the talk, but he’s recently proven he can walk the walk. |
16 | |
| 16 |
Flair hasn’t been able to show up Kenny Dykstra since his injury. Are the “Nature Boy’s” best days behind him? |
15 | |
| 17 |
They know each other so well that neither London nor Kendrick could beat the clock. The WWE Tag Team Champions stay solid at No. 17. |
17 | |
| 18 | 20 | ||
| 19 |
Matt falls after a quiet week. Perhaps he spent it looking over his shoulder for Johnny Nitro or Joey Mercury. Just because Jeff landed on the ladder doesn’t mean Matt is safe. |
18 | |
| 20 | 19 | ||
| 21 |
The burns MVP endured are enough to push him up a spot. He has turned WWE fans’ heads, proving to be one of the toughest men in sports-entertainment today. |
22 | |
| 22 |
Undertaker can’t spend time hanging out in coffins and expect to stay on the P25. Are his days on the list numbered? |
21 | |
| 23 |
Helms enjoys the benefits of circumstance as he becomes No. 23, but he certainly paid his dues to The Boogeyman. |
24 | |
| 24 |
Victoria slides after a night off, but she likely spent it preparing. Will she achieve championship status on Sunday? |
23 | |
| 25 |
Kenny debuts on the P25 after being consistently impressive, week after week. Now it’s up to him to stay on. |

"Where is Mickie? She’s the Women’s Champion and she’s been missing from the P25." - Toni
The Academy replies: She has also been missing from action. She has a chance to get back on if she successfully defends her title on Sunday.
"What’s Benoit doing still in the top 10 while Mr. Kennedy is down at No. 11?" - Marvin
The Academy replies: He’s still the United States Champion and the last time there was a title match, Kennedy was the one lying on his back.
"CM Punk has done nothing but win. He should still be at No. 8." - Chuck
The Academy replies: When so much happens with the Superstars around him, Punk can’t afford to take a night off without suffering the consequences.
The following Superstar(s) failed to maintain their spot on the POWER 25 this week:
Sabu - Without winning in weeks, Sabu drops off the P25. Can he point his way up back on?
Keep an eye on the following Superstars during the upcoming week:
Elijah Burke - With Terkay in his corner, it might not be very long before all of ECW is on board for the Elijah Burke Experience.
Cryme Tyme - Cryme Tyme looked strong in their return to the ring. Will they keep fighting and earn their way back onto the P25?
The Highlanders - Along with Cryme Tyme, the Highlanders helped add to the debate of who is the world’s greatest tag team.
