Two of the most famous martial artists of all time face off in the enthralling, action-packed tale, “Birth of the Dragon,” available now on Digital, Blu-ray, DVD and On Demand, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Featuring remarkable performances from Philip Ng Wan-lung (“Once Upon a Time in Shanghai”), Xia Yu (“In The Heat Of The Sun”) and Billy Magnussen (“Bridge of Spies”), the film combines intense kung fu action with a heartfelt story about personal humility and self-discovery. “Birth of the Dragon” on Blu-ray, DVD and digital showcase thrilling bonus features that give audiences a closer look at how the actors effectively personified these legendary characters, as well as the expert action choreography behind the film’s fight sequences.
“Birth of the Dragon” is not a biopic on Bruce Lee, but rather a modern take on the classic and beloved kung fu films of the past. It is inspired by the real, yet controversial, fight between a then up-and-coming Bruce Lee (Ng) and kung fu master Wong Jack Man (Yu). Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, many consider this epic showdown to be the battle that gave birth to a legend.
BONUS FEATURES ON BLU-RAY, DVD & DIGITAL:

- Building the Story: Philip Ng and Xia Yu discuss the differences between their characters and how their conflict forms the core of the story.
- The Stunts: Cast and filmmakers explain how each fight told its own story and why the stunt choreography was so crucial.
- The Fight: See how the big fight was so important to the development of both its participants and kung fu overall.
