Stephanie McMahon walks the runway at New York Fashion Week

NEW YORK CITY – WWE Executive Vice President of Creative Stephanie McMahon made her runway debut at Strut: The Fashionable Mom Show at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week! (PHOTOS | WATCH ON TOUT)

After a star-studded red carpet event, the show took place at Lincoln Center and featured top contemporary designers and brands. The Strut show stressed that moms aren’t just moms, but agents of change and powerhouses with a mission to succeed, while also showcasing a collection of attainable, contemporary designers and brands.

Strut was co-created by Executive Producer Stephanie Winston Wolkoff of SWW Creative and Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein of The MOMS — a multi-platform lifestyle brand and event company that McMahon has collaborated with via social media. Strut’s “Moms on a Mission” theme celebrated women making a difference — CEOs, philanthropists, entrepreneurs and more. 

“The moms walking the Strut runway have been chosen for their extraordinary dedication in their communities and around the world. These women all come from diverse fields and this fall, we want to highlight affordable fashion, philanthropy and motherhood while simultaneously making the world a better place,” Gerstein of The MOMS said.

Talk show host and mom Wendy Williams was the special guest presenter at Strut. In addition to McMahon, other women in the fashion show included actress Lisa Rinna, What2WearWhere.com editor Karen Klopp, Melanie Fascitelli of luxury closet brands CLOS-ETTE and CLOS-ETTE Too, FinoFile Founder & Editor-in-Chief Filipa Fino, United States Marine and mother of four GySgt Stephanie Borges, and XO Group Inc. Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief Carley Roney.

Rent the Runway, the online destination for designer dress and accessory rentals, styled Strut, and many of the show’s looks can be rented on RenttheRunway.com. A percentage of Rent the Runway’s proceeds from the looks will go to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is the single largest New York City media event where top designers feature their collections to more than 100,000 people in the global fashion industry throughout eight days at Lincoln Center.
