Hours before SmackDown went live in front of a sold-out San Diego Sports Arena, Make-A-Wish’s Jon Espitia had a giant smile on his face as he anticipated meeting the Superstar he was about to see, the Punjabi giant – The Great Khali. With Jon, WWE celebrated a historical Circle of Champions event. It was Khali’s first encounter with a True Champ.

At age 2, Ryan was diagnosed with DMD, recognized by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. As he lost strength and muscle tissue throughout the years, he also lost mobility, confining him to a wheelchair by age 8.
