In theaters everywhere, X-Men Origins: Wolverine focuses on the history of Marvel Comics' most animalistic hero. Although the WWE roster has never boasted a ring warrior with claws and an adamantium-laced skeleton (that we know about, anyway), the WWE Universe has been treated to some of the wildest and most feral Superstars to ever step into the squared circle. Take a look at some of WWE's wildest below, but be careful: They bite!

Umaga

"Umaga" is the Samoan term for the final part of the tattoo process, meaning "the end," and couldn't be a more fitting name for this savage Superstar. The Samoan Bulldozer, communicating solely in gutteral grunts and shouts, used his animalistic tendencies to rack up an unprecedented nine-month undefeated streak upon his debut and continues to terrorize the WWE roster on SmackDown.

Gorilla Monsoon

Though you might remember him as one of WWE's most beloved announcers, prior to picking up the mic, WWE Hall of Famer Gorilla Monsoon was one of the most feared, brutal Superstars to ever step in the ring. An animalistic giant from the wilds of Manchuria, Monsoon even squared off with legendary boxer, Muhammad Ali, levelling "The Greatest" with his famous Airplane spin maneuver.

The Original Sheik

Another WWE Hall of Famer, The Original Sheik is infamous for innovating much of what is now considered the "Hardcore" wrestling style, throwing mysterious fireballs, and even baring his teeth and sinking them into his opponents. The wild man from Syria refused to speak, letting his vicious, feral actions in some of the most brutal matches ever imagined do all his talking for him.

The Wild Samoans

Umaga is joined on this list by a tandem of savage Samoans: WWE Hall of Famers Afa & Sika. Like The Samoan Bulldozer, The Wild Samoans spoke only in gutteral grunts, but went even farther in their savagery, devouring raw fish during interviews. But their wild nature made itself known in the ring as well, as they demolished their opponents with brutal Samoan Drops and headbutts.

Mr. Fuji

Before WWE Hall of Famer Mr. Fuji led countless Superstars to victory as a manager, he was "The Devious One," using his feral nature to rack up wins in singles and tag team matches. Many of the moves and techniques that the Japanese Superstar would later use as a manager were first utilized as an in-ring competitor, including throwing salt in the eyes of unsuspecting opponents.

Batista

It should come as no surprise that a Superstar known as The Animal has some feral tendencies. Since his debut in 2002, Batista has torn through the WWE roster with an abandon that would be considered reckless if not for his considerable skills. With his imposing physique, shocking speed and quickly escalating intensity, The Animal is one of the fiercest Superstars to ever compete in WWE.
