Counting down to the Super Bowl

Is your football team already looking forward to the NFL Draft? Need some help choosing who to root for in the playoffs? Check out what the WWE Superstars have to say about the NFL this season, and find out who they're picking to go to the Super Bowl and win it all.

Tazz / Jacksonville Jaguars

"I’m a New York Jets fan. I root for a loser. Growing up, I despised two things as a football fan – the New England Patriots and the New York Giants. I predict the Jacksonville Jaguars will play the Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl. As a Jets fan, you’re used to not being in the playoffs, so I watch all the games. I’m an AFC fan, except for the Patriots, so I’d like to see the Jaguars go all the way. Something different. They're a young, hungry team."

Cody Rhodes / Dallas Cowboys

"The Dallas Cowboys are the team of the house. We are by no means frontrunners, because for the longest time, they sucked. I have to watch the game in full. I won’t even watch if I pick it up halfway. I’ve got to see what the attitude is like, what the morale is like, and how they’re playing. That Redskins thing was a travesty."

Elijah Burke / Jacksonville Jaguars

"I don’t wear Jacksonville underwear and I don’t wear Jacksonville ties like some of the announcers do, but I make sure the cars that I drive have satellite radio, especially when it’s a crucial time in the playoffs. Your Guiding Light is predicting that the Jacksonville Jaguars will upset the Patriots and move on to the next round of the playoffs because of the three-headed monster. And those three heads consist of David Garrard, Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew."

John "Bradshaw" Layfield / Dallas Cowboys

"The Dallas Cowboys have the best team in the NFC. I think Dallas beats Green Bay and New England beats Indianapolis. Unfortunately, New England will probably beat Dallas in the Super Bowl. If both teams play their best, New England has the edge. Dallas has a chance because they can score. They have Tony Romo. Nobody really wanted the guy, and now he’s got this huge contract, a smoking hot girlfriend, and he's an all-pro. You’ve got to like him."

Jeff Hardy / Jacksonville Jaguars

"I’m torn between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the San Diego Chargers. The Jaguars really impressed me in that Pittsburgh game. That’s the first time I really sat down and watched a game in a while. I got away from it in the last few years, but football’s really entertaining. I like to go to the bars and watch games with those crazy football fans."

Mr. Kennedy / Green Bay Packers

"Green Bay has a big game against Seattle. The cool thing with the Seahawks is it’s kind of a rivalry with Mike Holmgren taken from us. He basically robbed Green Bay of a lot of good talent. I was pretty upset when he left, but it’s definitely going to be a heated rivalry game. I think the Packers can take it. They’re hard to beat at home."

Mickie James / Dallas Cowboys

"Go, Tony Romo! Go, Terrell Owens! T.O.’s a little hurt, but he’s going to come back. I have my Cowboys hat and I have my Cowboys jersey. I had a pink Romo jersey until Jessica Simpson came and soiled it. So now I won’t wear it. She’s bad luck."

Balls Mahoney / New York Giants

"If we play like we’ve been playing, we can go all the way. Here’s my call: If the Giants make the Super Bowl, it will not be against New England. It will be against Indianapolis, with brother vs. brother [Eli Manning vs. Peyton Manning] at starting quarterback. If I’m not watching the game live, I watch at home with my mother. I have to watch football with my mom. When I’m on the road, I’ll be on the phone with my mom throughout the whole game."

Tommy Dreamer / New York Giants

"I like the New York Giants, but I don’t have confidence in Eli Manning. I don’t think the Patriots are going to go all the way, either. It’s up in the air right now. It’s a very interesting time to be a football fan, right now. I’m not a super fan. That’s more like Balls Mahoney, who’s a weird, obsessed Giants fan. He’ll say, 'We’re winning' like he’s on the team. And when they lose, he gets really depressed."

Michelle McCool / Jacksonville Jaguars

"I’ve got to stick with the Jacksonville Jaguars – got to stick with the home team. There’s nothing more I’d like to see than the Jaguars bringing a Super Bowl trophy home. I’m just a hometown fan. There are no rituals or superstitions when I watch any sport, but don’t be around me or giving me attitude because I get way into it. I’m too competitive."
