And the winner is...
For the brightest stars in Hollywood, Sunday will be one of the biggest nights of the year as the 79th annual Academy Awards is broadcast from the Kodak Theatre. For the brightest stars in the squared-circle, kicking back and enjoying a movie can be the perfect way to spend a well-deserved night off. With talented actors like Meryl Streep, Peter O'Toole, Judi Dench and Forest Whitaker vying for Oscar gold, the telecast is bound to be enthralling. WWE.com checked in with some of the biggest film buffs in sports-entertainment to get their personal Oscar favorites.

First stop: The Miz. As a resident of Los Angeles and former Reality TV contestant, The Miz truly has his finger on the pulse of entertainment. The cocky SmackDown Superstar started off by giving his own version of an Oscar acceptance speech.

"I would like to thank the Oscars for closing down Hollywood Boulevard, which is right near my house. Traffic has been hell all week, so I just want to thank you, Oscars!"

What about The Miz's picks for best actress? "To be honest, The Devil Wears Prada was a horrible movie, and Meryl Streep is the most-overrated actress. Kate Winslet… Titanic was her mainstay, now she's just whoever. I think Penelope Cruz is going to win because she's hot!"

Fellow Los Angelino Joey Mercury refused to be boxed in by "nominations" when choosing a winner for best picture, "I don't see it nominated, but Borat. That's my personal favorite. Out of the ones on the list, I choose The Departed. It hooked me, swerved me and took me in every single direction. I really enjoyed it."

ECW Extremist CM Punk also went with The Departed for best picture, "It is simply an excellent movie," reflected the straightedge Punk. "I'm going to pick Leonardo DiCaprio in Blood Diamond for best actor, just because he was so good in The Departed. I hate Leonardo DiCaprio, so it pains me to even say that!"

To find out who wins, and who goes home empty-handed, catch the Oscars on Sunday night.
