WWE salutes our veterans
Rey Mysterio joined 2007's Tribute to the Troops as part of WWE's ongoing effort to honor the United States' military.
Considering all the flurry that surrounds our daily lives, it’s all too easy to forget what makes the United States the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave – our veterans. That’s why on Veteran’s Day, we at WWE would like to remind the WWE Universe to take a little time to reflect on the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform on this most solemn of days.
With the holiday season, and WWE’s annual Tribute to the Troops broadcast special, rapidly approaching, we’re reminded of our proud tradition of supporting our veterans past and present, including the 1.7 million men and women who have served, or are currently serving, in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has been estimated that as many as one in five Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are suffering from a mental health injury, ranging from depression to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, as a result of their service.
On this Veteran’s Day, the WWE would like to offer our humble thanks to all those who have served and continue to serve in the U.S. armed forces.
